10 Qualities That Make Lip Gallagher Absolutely Irresistible
Showtime

If you aren't a fan of "Shameless" already, you're doing it wrong. Originally a United Kingdom television series, it was remade by the television network Showtime in 2011. The U.K. version is decent, but the U.S. one will have you planning dates with you, yourself and endless rolls of takeout sushi in bed on a Friday night.

Phillip Gallagher: the ultimate "bad boy, but I just wanna change him" persona. The guy you can't take home to mom ... but you can definitely take to formal. Nicknamed "Lip," as perfectly as it suits him, is no question the best character in the series. He always has the best story lines, the best dialogue and not to mention, his hair is the perfect combination of sexy and a complete mess. So if you've seen the show, or if you haven't, I'm sure you can agree that these attributes make Lip Gallagher absolutely irresistible.

1. His brain.

A straight-A student in high school, Lip doesn't really care about his grades at first, which kind of just makes him even more attractive. After he's accepted to MIT though, it's hard to not drool over his dedication to school, or the way he can intellectually compete with his professors.

2. His love interests.

Karen, the crazy (yet somehow you adore her) first love. Mandy, who was alright, but we still thank her for getting Lip into college. Amanda, the relatable example of innocently falling for a jerk. And of course Helene, the MILF we all want to be when we're older.

3. The way he sneaks up on you.

You don't notice it at first, but Lip grows on you. Watch a season or two and you'll be head over heels for that sarcastic look in his eyes.

4. His past.

Even though he desperately doesn't want to be like his father, Lip resembles Frank in a variety of ways. He's trying to escape his presumed future and his horrible past, but he can't seem to shake it. All the more reason to keep watching.

5. The way he parties.

Who doesn't appreciate a guy that can have a great time? It gets him into serious trouble, but when he's the house-boy for a sorority, you can't help to wish you were there, too.

6. His love for kids.

From his little brother Liam to his niece Frankie, Lip handles children with the cutest care. And we just love him more for it.

7. His sense of responsibility (kind of).

He always has his family's back, no matter the situation. Once he grows up and goes to college, he's great with his schoolwork ... you know, until the Helene situation ruins everything.

8. His style.

The effortless "I don't care" look works seamlessly with his curly hair and giant, gorgeous blue eyes.

9. His nonchalant attitude.

Let's put it this way: he doesn't give a crap about what anyone thinks.

10. The way we want to change him.

Despite his many flaws, we just wanna take him in and tame that "bad boy" mentality. Isn't that the dream?

Well, we can either drool over our thoughts about Lip Gallagher, or ... we can go watch the latest episode of Season 6. I think I'll do the latter.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
