When Hannah Montana reigned on Disney Channel, that was easily my prime. Nothing could possibly get better than that show. She taught my little 10-year-old self lessons that I still hold onto, today. Not everything she sings about is about a boy. It's building true character and simply put, just living the way you want.
1. Nobody's perfect.
I gotta work it, again and again til I get it right. You live and you learn it, because everybody makes mistakes.
2. Life's a climb.
There are always going to be obstacles in my way, but just keep climbing. The view is great. Keep on movin', keep on climbin', keep the faith.
3. You'll always find your way back home.
We can search high and low to escape our problems, but home is where we are rooted and grounded. Home explains who were are. You can change everything about yourself, but you'll always find your way back to that special place. (Being a college student, I identify with this more so than I used to.)
4. We might be apart, but you'll be with me wherever I go.
People come into our lives for a reason. But sometimes we have to be apart from them because that's how life's course intended. I've always got the memories while I'm finding out who I'm gonna be. I'll miss you but you'll always be with apart of who I am.
5. This is the life.
Embrace what adventures life takes you through. Hold on tight.
6. Don't let anyone tell you you aren't strong enough.
Don't give up, you've got a whole journey to complete in front of you. Being yourself is more than enough. Speak your mind, make some noise.
7. We want to believe in something bigger than us.
There's a greater picture out there. Love exceeds all.
8. Never give up.
If you fall, pick yourself back up, you're still good. We are only human. You can take on anything. I'm gonna make this dream I believe in real.
9. Take those dreams and make them all come true.
We are in the driver's seat of our lives. Make your dreams come true. Just do it.
10. Life's what you make it.
Just take a situation and turn it all around. Don't let the small things get you down. With a new attitude everything can change. Life is hard or it's a party -- the choice is up to you.
So, thank you Hannah Montana. I know that you have changed (significantly), but your lessons truly have helped me with the whole growing up process. I learned from you.
