If you have not indulged yourself in the work of art that is Parks and Recreation, stop and do so IMMEDIATELY. The show is LITERALLY *Chris Traeger voice* perfect in every aspect. While being overall the most enjoyable show to watch ever created in all of the universe, there are valuable lessons to be learned from each of our friends in Pawnee, Indiana.

1. Everyone is passionate about something.

Even the darkest souls can find something in the world they love. April Ludgate intensely hates people and most other things in the world, but has a heart full of love for animals.

2. Be you, and enjoy it.

Tom is a real oddball, but I've never seen a happier oddball.

3. Everything.

What can't we learn from Leslie Knope? Leslie is confident, hard working, doesn't let people take advantage of her, and is the best friend everyone wants.

4. Positivity is key.

Chris Traeger is always the one to support his coworkers and *SPOILER ALERT* mother of his baby. There might be one episode in all seven seasons when he doesn't smile the entire time he's on screen.

5. Humility.

Jerry/Gerry/Larry...Gergich might be the only humble character on the show. Jerry's life at work may suck, but you realize he's the real winner when you see his wife and daughters.

6. We all need a really good friend.

From Ann Perkins, we can learn that not all guys are good guys, and you're always going to need your best girlfriend to keep you in line. Ann is beautiful and strong, but she is also humble enough to ask for help when she needs it.

7. It's the little things.

Andy Dwyer is not the sharpest pitchfork in the barn, but he's probably the happiest. The smallest things make him happy and I think there is a lot to be said for that.

8. TREAT YO SELF

If there is anyone in the world that knows the value of treating yourself every now and then, its Donna Meagle. She knows how to take time for herself and make herself happy when things get stressful.

9. Work hard at what you do.

I've never seen anyone hate the government more than Ron Swanson, but he works at a government agency. Ron works very hard to prevent much from getting done, which is exactly what he believes is right. He also works hard at carpentry, eating meat and breakfast food, and being an honest man.

10. You can be great no matter how small you are.

No one was loved more in the state of Indiana than this little guy. Rest easy Lil Sebastian.

Now, if you've read these lessons and haven't watched parks and recreation, I highly suggest you get started immediately.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
