It's December 26th. You wake up and realize you forgot to get a gift for that one person on your list. Oops. The stores are probably pretty cleaned out, but you have to buy something, right? Here's 10 things that you can't go wrong with for that friend you can't believe you forgot about this Christmas.

1. Starbucks gift card.

Coffee, hot chocolate, tea...you're guaranteed success with the purchase of a Starbucks gift card. It pleases every white girl, every businessman on his way to the office, and everyone in between.

2. Candles.

I may be biased towards these candles, but there is no better place to buy scented wax than Bath and Body Works. They're affordable, long-lasting, and provide amazing scents in just about anything you could think of. There's even ones that guys would like, although be careful what guy you buy a candle for...

3. A scarf.

They're warm, stylish, inexpensive, and work for literally anyone. You can't go wrong with a scarf, and that's all there is to it.

4. Hot cocoa mix.

Yes, it screams "I have no money but I still wanted to be nice," but who doesn't love chocolate and marshmallows? I'll never turn down a jar of cocoa mix.

5. MONEY.

My mom always told me that throwing a 20-dollar bill in an envelope is the most thoughtless gift I can give someone, but when have you ever complained after being handed cold hard cash?

6. Beer.

It's affordable, shareable, and pleases just about everyone. Honestly, any booze would make a great gift for so many reasons. Buy it. Give it. Enjoy it.

7. Socks.

I've heard socks described as cute, cozy, rad, hot, funky, etc. There's fleece lined, wool knit, polka-dotted, athletic, and even ones that have pictures of bacon all over them. Young or old, socks will always please.

8. Gift basket.

Every Christmas, my Grandpa shows up with a giant bag full of chocolate, sausage, mixed nuts, and cheese. It feeds us for weeks, and food from gift baskets is usually good. But seriously, what is it about them that makes everything just taste better?

9. A framed photograph.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so why not print one out, grab a frame while you're at it, and wrap up that perfect memory of you and your bestie?

10. Head massager.

I'm not kidding when I say that I've saved the best for last. If you've never heard of this thing before, hit the stores right now and buy one for yourself and a friend. It's literally a $5 tool used to massage your own head, and it feels amazing. Give it as a gift and you'll make someone's day, guaranteed.

So there. Stop panicking, jump in your car, and go grab the perfect gift!

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
