There are about a million awesome Christmas movies out there but I am going to narrow it down to five great Christmas movies you have to watch that'll be sure to get you in to the holiday spirit!

1. Home Alone

The first Home Alone movie debuted in 1990 and was a huge hit. People all around the world love this movie and the story behind it. This classic movie about a boy left all alone for Christmas but makes the best of it with his adventures is a great comedy to watch with your entire family.


2. The Santa Claus

This movie is a must-see on Christmas because if you don't watch it, did Christmas really happen? The Santa Clause series of movies is great for kids and adults so when you're all sitting around the Christmas tree after opening presents this movie would be the perfect one to watch.

3. Elf

If you don't know what movie this is- stop reading this right now and go watch it. This movie is one of the best Christmas movies hands down. I don't know a single human who does not enjoy this film. You could watch it all year round not even during the holidays and it would be acceptable.


4. A Christmas Story

This film is an all-time classic. You love it, your parents love it, your grandparents love it and your great grandparents probably love it. This movie is about a kid who has a dream about making this particular Christmas the best one yet and though he goes through some tough times (as most children do) he tries to remain in the Christmas spirit.

5. How The Grinch Stole Christmas

The Grinch is an oldie but goodie. This 2000 film was a family hit. I always love watching this movie because Jim Carrey made it so entertaining. This movie is a must-watch during the holidays. After chowing down on Christmas dinner, curl up with some hot cocoa and turn this movie on to end your night right!

These movies are some of the best movies to watch during the holidays and will definitely get you and the rest of your family in to the holiday spirit!
