10 Good Things That Can Come From Tinder
Solo in the City

Admit it, you had the app at one point. Tinder is usually seen as a "hook-up" app, but the app is not just for "hook-ups". People don't only use Tinder when someone breaks up with them, or to look for someone new. So for other reasons, you downloaded the app. Maybe you just wanted to see why your friends had the app... well, so did everyone else's friends. With this many people using Tinder, some good things must of had to come out of it. Well, here they are...

1. Simply just meeting new people.

You know what they say: you meet one person, you meet a million. Since you can connect Tinder to Facebook, you can see mutual friends you have with a match. Yay for making new friends and simply just meeting so many new people through them!

2. Creating a Tinder bio helps dating in real life.

Since you're trying to think up a bio that will get you what you want in a significant other, you find out what you're looking for without even really looking for it. You can now say that you have found your type. Which leads to...

3. Actually meeting your boyfriend/girlfriend.

This is pretty self explanatory.

4. If you message first, you learn good pick up lines.

Well, maybe not any that are good enough to actually use.

5. You learn to take really good selfies.

You just had to have the perfect pictures of you on your page. At least now you have some good selfies to post everywhere.

6. You become really good at first impressions.

First impressions, especially ones online, are becoming a necessity in the business world. Thank goodness Tinder helped you become good with this aspect in life.

7. You "cleaned up" your Instagram.

Since it was connected to your Tinder, you actually deleted those pictures with your ex. Now you can completely move on. Way to go you!

8. Finding out more about where you live.

Above is how we all feel when we find new things to do. When someone asks you what there is to do in Omaha, or whatever town you are from, you have to figure out what to say back. So you google, "Things to do in Omaha", and actually learn about more things that exist where you live.

9. It can be something to use when you're bored or when you need to waste time.

[rebelmouse-proxy-image https://media.rbl.ms/image?u=%2Ffiles%2F2016%2F03%2F10%2F635931901168943661988930285_kim-kardashians-laughs-while-looking-at-her-phone-gif.gif&ho=https%3A%2F%2Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net&s=552&h=6e86ca705c1b0bb314965f13220a5d43b42387ee165471b03433803ad9f4101e&size=980x&c=252160994 crop_info="%7B%22image%22%3A%20%22https%3A//media.rbl.ms/image%3Fu%3D%252Ffiles%252F2016%252F03%252F10%252F635931901168943661988930285_kim-kardashians-laughs-while-looking-at-her-phone-gif.gif%26ho%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net%26s%3D552%26h%3D6e86ca705c1b0bb314965f13220a5d43b42387ee165471b03433803ad9f4101e%26size%3D980x%26c%3D252160994%22%7D" expand=1]

So you ran out of other social media to look at... now you can "Tinder" around.

10. After all, the word "tinder" actually means "material that is used for lighting a fire."

[rebelmouse-proxy-image https://media.rbl.ms/image?u=%2Ffiles%2F2016%2F03%2F10%2F6359319017470546131926452804_last.gif&ho=https%3A%2F%2Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net&s=182&h=75a768957d9962f6e8b57fd6b69e0a65953af7d4faed287e3def243bc40c42ea&size=980x&c=3750219182 crop_info="%7B%22image%22%3A%20%22https%3A//media.rbl.ms/image%3Fu%3D%252Ffiles%252F2016%252F03%252F10%252F6359319017470546131926452804_last.gif%26ho%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Faz616578.vo.msecnd.net%26s%3D182%26h%3D75a768957d9962f6e8b57fd6b69e0a65953af7d4faed287e3def243bc40c42ea%26size%3D980x%26c%3D3750219182%22%7D" expand=1]

You, you little material masterpiece, are capable of starting fires. So, in other words, you might think you are insignificant, but Tinder helped you realize that you are capable of so much more. Take that for a confidence boost.

"Arthur's Perfect Christmas" Is The Perfect Holiday Special, Move Over Charlie Brown

Arthur Read is here to deliver the real meaning of Christmas.

As the holiday season draws nearer, many of us find ourselves drawn to the same old Rankin-Bass Christmas specials and the perennial favorite, "A Charlie Brown Christmas." However, I would like to suggest an overlooked alternative, "Arthur's Perfect Christmas." It is a heartfelt, funny, and surprisingly inclusive Christmas special that deserves more recognition.

Reclaim Your Weekends From The 'Sunday Scaries' With 'Self-Love Sundays' Instead
Olivia DeLucia

Laid back and taking it easy — sometimes that is the motto we all need after a busy week. Sunday scaries? Yes, they are valid – but you know what else is? A Sunday full of self-love. A lazy Sunday spent doing what you feel needs to be done to ease into the next week. Self-Love Sundays are a guilty pleasure that isn't only essential for our mind, and body, but are also a surprisingly proactive way to devote the upcoming week with a clear mindset.

So, what is a more suitable way to dedicate your week's end than a beautifully, connected playlist to accompany your face masks and journaling? Cheers, to a Self-Love Sunday (and a playlist intertwined with it to match). (Please note: "Sunday Morning" isn't included in this list, due to the obvious, but feel free to blast it anyway, we know you want to).

Sunset Girl

The sun rose and peeked through the sheer curtains. Rose’s alarm shrieked. The loud bells caused her phone to jump on the side table. It was time for her to get ready for church. Blindly reaching for her phone, she shut the alarm off and pulled at the covers providing her a cocoon of warmth and tossed them to the side. She swept her bare feet across the bed to touch the cool wooden floor.

Rose softly tiptoed to the corner of the bedroom to grab her clothes dangling on the arm of the bedroom chair. Scooping all of the items of her chosen outfit, she headed to the bathroom hoping that she wouldn’t drop anything.

Round, piercing blue eyes stared back at her in the bathroom mirror. Rose fingered the wrinkles forming around her eyes. So many of them bore signs of laughter and smiling. Slowly dropping her hands, she couldn’t remember the last time she laughed in her home with Tom. Shaking her head as if to erase the negative thoughts, she reached for her makeup bag and went through her regular routine.

Applying her favorite deep rose lipstick, Rose headed downstairs to make her coffee and bagel to take with her to church. The smell of dark-roast coffee swirled in the air as Rose sliced her cinnamon raisin bagel. Hearing the Keurig sputter with the fresh brew, Rose found the interruption of the stillness comforting. The toaster signaled that her bagel was done with a soft pop. It had a delicious golden brown color. Placing the bagel on the counter, she generously spread honey nut flavored cream cheese across both halves. Gathering her bible, notebook, and pens from the side table on the porch she stuffed them into her purse. Purse hanging on her right shoulder she juggled her coffee and bagel in both of her hands as she headed to the garage.

This Holiday Season, Choose To Be Eco-friendly And Reduce Pollution

Many of us have old magazines lying around, fully read and not of much use anymore. However, we can use their bright colors and prints as a stylish and trendy wrapping paper!

It can be overwhelming to see the detrimental effects of climate change and pollution on the news, from animals dying and forest fires spreading, but there are smaller changes that we can all make to reduce our carbon footprint, and it begins with our gifting season.

On average, Americans throw 25% more trash between Thanksgiving and New Years, which translates to 25 million tons of garbage. That's 1 million extra tons per week.
