Christmas is right around the corner and honestly you should already have your gifts because Black Friday has already passed. I mean, did you not Christmas shop when literally everything was on sale? You could have shopped online if you didn't want to get dragged into the craziness. Maybe you just shopped for yourself. Either way, now you're stuck and have to buy things at their ridiculous full price so here are some simple ideas that you can hopefully find at cheap prices. Good luck!

1. Scarves and/or hats

Literally, the easiest thing to get. Men and women wear them, they're typically under $10 and it's winter so whoever you give them to, will wear them. If you're talented you could even make your own scarf to give. It's probably best to stick with neutral colors so they can be worn with most outfits.

2. Cosmetics

Maybe not the best for everyone but if you have a little sister, she can use chap stick. If you have an older cousin, and you're worried about matching her skin tone, she would love some cosmetic brushes or sponges. If you have a daughter, give her one of your favorite colored lipsticks because its hard to find good colors and you probably have similar skin tones. If the world of makeup terrifies you, just give her a gift card to Ulta.

3. Pajamas

Everyone wears pajamas and if they don't, then gift them some so they can stop scaring their roommates. You don't even need to know their size for this one but just keep in mind that bigger is better.

4. Soap

It's usually cheap and as long as it's not such a strange scent, they'll use it. It's easy and typical. Also, if you don't like them, include a note saying "Smell better next year"

5. Subscriptions

You do have to know the person a little better to do this one but it could be a really thoughtful awesome gift or a really horrible joke. I'm not responsible for anything that comes from this recommendation. Some ideas for nice subscriptions are beer of the month or monthly makeup bags. (I kinda like makeup)

6. Tickets

Do they love football? Do they love music? Do they fly a lot? Buy them a ticket to go to a favorite concert or sports game. It might not be the cheapest thing ever but it would make their Christmas.

7. Food

It could be leftovers or it could be something you made. It could even be a box of their favorite candy or a gift card to their favorite restaurant. Everyone needs to eat, why not make it their Christmas present.

8. Water Bottle

Everyone needs to drink water and the average American adult doesn't drink enough water. So a stylish water bottle is the perfect gift. They can take it to take to work or school. It's a great way to show someone you care about their health and it's typically a cheap buy.

9. Christmas Cards

For those of you who care more about money than you do about your friends, just make a handmade Christmas card. It's the thought that counts, right?

10. Money

Money is the easiest gift to give. Forgot to buy one for your friend and need one last minute? Give money. Don't know them well enough to give a good gift? Give money. Can't afford something? Give a little money.

Merry Christmas and may all your gift dreams come true.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
