Yes, spring break is supposed to be a wild experience with all your friends at the beach. However, if you're like me and you're staying home for the break, here's 10 fun things to do to make your boring week a little bit better! (Note: this isn't supposed to be bold but this thing isn't working with me today. Also idk what those bullet points are for but they won't go away)

  • Have a sleepover with old friends

You know those best friends you had in high school that you never talk to now that you’re in college? Call them up and see if they want to get together. I’m sure they miss you as much as you miss them

  • Go on a road trip/adventure

Spontaneous road trips are the absolute best. No plan and no intended destination. Grab some friends and hit the road with a bomb playlist

  • Have a cook out with your family

You’re home for spring break and have been away from your family for a long time. Have dinner with them and catch up on life; yours and theirs

  • Clean your room/Re-do your room

This one doesn’t seem that fun to most people, but I promise you’ll feel better if everything is clean and put in its place.

  • Have a picnic with friends

Get some fast food, because no one cooks in college, and grab some friends for a nice picnic on a sunny day. Take lots of pictures to remember the beautiful day and the glorious fast food you just ate.

  • Go to a lake or beach for the day

Grab that cute bathing suit you’ve been dying to show off and go to a lake or beach for the day with some friends! Just don’t forget your sunscreen or you might regret it later!

  • Read an interesting book

No one ever has time to read in college, there’s so many things that come before sitting down and reading a good book. Spring break is a time to relax and unwind from the stress of school; run a bath, light some candles, and read a book

  • Have a movie marathon of Harry Potter/The Hunger Games/Lord of the Rings/etc.

If you’re just really bored one day and have no desire to get out of bed, then pop some popcorn, grab a soda, and start a movie marathon of your favorite series. Movie marathons are hard, but series are meant to be watched back to back.

  • Go shopping

Grab a few girlfriends or your mom (preferably mom because she will pay for things) and hit up your local mall/shopping center for some trendy new clothes. Be sure to show off all your new finds when school starts back!

  • Go to a dog park

What’s better than watching dogs run around all day? I can’t think of anything else I’d rather do on a sunny spring day. Just remember to watch where you step!!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
