With the weather finally warming up, it comes as no surprise that most of us are going to want to get outside. In Chicago, we are fortunate to have all of these awesome opportunities to experience, so here's 10 fun things to do once the weather heats up!
1. Divvy Biking
Biking is always way better and faster than walking, and what better way to explore Chicago on a nice sunny day than on the seat of a bike with the wind in your hair!
2. Go Take Pictures
Have a photoshoot with some friends! Get your nice camera or even iPhone and head out on an adventure. You'll definitely get some insta worthy shots by lakeshore drive.
3. Rooftop Dining at London House
Rooftops are the place to be on nice Chicago days. If you're 21, they're even better. Find a really great rooftop restaurant and head out with a couple of friends for a great lunch and even better view. I would definitely suggest the London House, it's great.
4. Beaches
North Ave. and Oak Street beach are calling your name! Put on a swimsuit, lather up your skin with sunblock (because it's pasty I'm sure from the Chicago winter), and catch some much needed vitamin D.
5. Street Festivals
What better way to hang with friends than to do it while eating great food, drinking great drinks, and listening to some music! Street festivals will be starting up soon, so don't forget to mark them on your calendar.
6. Outdoor Concerts
Music is so much fun, especially when you get to hear your favorite artists outside on a beautiful night. Find a list of all your favorite concerts coming to Chicago this summer and pick some to go to!
7. Cubs Game
Even if you're not a huge sports fan like myself, a Cubs game atmosphere is one that everyone must experience. So grab a ticket this summer, and cheer on our World Series champs.
8. Shopping
I'm sure most of you already know that Chicago has amazing shopping, but nothing beats Michigan Ave. in the summer. Save up some money and go get things you probably don't even need but want!
9. Lincoln Park Zoo
The Lincoln Park Zoo is a great place to take family and friends for a fun filled day in the sun. You can see lions laying on rocks and penguins waddling around before jumping into icy cold water.
10. Outdoor Movies
Millennium Park does outdoor movies all summer, and Wrigley Field is going to start doing them too in their side park. Grab some popcorn, a blanket, and watch Toy Story under the stars.
