1. It's a great place to meet up with old friends.
If you’re having a mini high school reunion with friends over the break, where better to share stories than at Starbucks? It’s warm, cozy and festive. And you won’t be alone in your basic-ness.
2. You can knock out some gift shopping while you're there.
Whether you’re purchasing a bag of coffee grounds for your dad or a gift card for a friend, buying for others is a great way to feel better about yourself for taking yet another trip to Starbucks. While you’re at it, you might as well pick up a peppermint mocha for yourself.
3. Share the love by treating your sibling.
Be the good brother or sister and take your sibling out to Starbucks for some bonding and conversation over your favorite drinks. You’re being generous, not basic.
4. Santa could really use some Starbucks.
When you’re craving your favorite basic drink on Christmas Eve, make the excuse that you want to leave out something nicer than milk for Santa this year, and then go pick up a couple drinks. After all, it’s for Santa.
5. Save money on decorations by using empty Starbucks cups.
After pulling out all of your Christmas decorations from years past, if you still have extra room around the house, just head to Starbucks. Buy as many drinks as you can carry and set the empty cups around the house to remind yourself that your love for the holiday season is 100 percent related to the festive drinks Starbucks offers in the month of December.
6. You might not always have time to go to Starbucks.
For those days when it just doesn't fit in your schedule to make a coffee run, make sure you have a few cleaned-out Starbucks cups stored at home. That way you can make your own hot chocolate and drink it from a Starbucks cup. It’s almost like the real thing.
7. Take advantage of Starbucks while you can, in case you lose it in the future.
If, down the road, someone has a successful court case about burning their hands on a Starbucks coffee cup and the whole company shuts down and you can never go there again, you will regret every time you could have gone but didn't.
8. The cups can be used as handy change holders.
Drink your Starbucks, clean the cup, drop in change, use change to buy more Starbucks, reflect on your basic-ness as you drink your Starbucks, repeat.
9. It offers the perfect environment for some "me" time.
Take a break from crazy family reunions and relax at your favorite safe haven, Starbucks. Settle down into a cozy armchair by the fireplace with a caramel brulée latte in your hand and enjoy being alone with your thoughts. And your Starbucks.
10. Visiting will always remind you of how basic you actually are.
Just in case you forgot.
