We all know names like Frida Kahlo and Georgia O'Keefe, but we often times forget about female artists trying to make their art known to the world. In honor of women's history month, let's honor these unique voices in art.

1. @pollynor

@pollynor's art is sometimes unsettling but is ultimately extremely relatable and honest. She has told so many stories about female experiences through her art and it is greatly appreciated.

2. @tomatosita

@tomatosita's line work is so precise and her drawing style is very satisfying. Her characters are always looking moody and over it, creating relatability.

3. Stephanie Sarley (@stephanie_sarley)

@stephanie_sarley's art embraces self-love and human behaviors. She uses primarily fruits and vegetables to convey these messages and it could not be more effective.

4. Grace Miceli (@artbabygirl)

Grace Miceli on Instagram: “I made this while listening to today’s episode of @realmelissabroder’s podcast “eating alone in my car” which always makes me feel seen in…”

@artbabygirl's drawings are fun and colorful. She uses commercial products as a backbone to share relatable phrases that feel like a warm hug.

5. @aleia

@aleia's miniature dioramas with snails are my personal favorite to see while scrolling through Instagram. Her art has appeared in music videos and album art. This account is a must follow

6. Petra Collins (@petrafcollins)

Petra Collins is on her way to becoming a household name, as she's directed Selena Gomez and Cardi B music videos as well as modeling in and directing various Gucci campaigns. She's making a name for herself and all we can say is Girl Power.

7. @likrotable

@likrotable is one of my personal favorite Instagram artists. Her work is often times edgy or macabre but, her characters' big eyes resemble the work of Margaret Keane.

8. Laura Jayne Hodkin (@laurajaneyh)

Laura Jayne is an animator who's work creates a relatable retelling of female experiences. She is a must follow for her comics and adorable animations.

9. @gentlethrills

Have you ever wanted wearable art? Look no further because @gentlethrills is the artist/merchandizer of your dreams. Her prints are made to be worn and each of her products is unique. Is there anything more to say?

10. Esther Kim (@estherlovesyou)

If you were/are a Hello Kitty lover and you don't follow @estherlovesyou, you are missing out on another cute character to obsess over. Esther Kim created Esther Bunny and she's adorable, to say the least. Don't miss out on the cuteness and follow this Instagram.

There have been so many new and hot trends happening for summer 2019. From makeup to beach accessories, and articles of clothing, here are ten summer essentials for all women.

1. Straw Bags

A perfect straw bag can make an outfit look simple to summer ready.

2. Scarfs

Scarfs are everywhere! Not only are they worn as we are used to seeing, but they are worn as hair ties, belts, ascots, and even tops. The great thing about these scarfs is that they can be found on Amazon in different patterns.

3. "No Makeup" Makeup Look

Of course, during the summer we don't want to look, as beauty gurus say, "cakey." Social media has been blowing up the "no makeup" makeup look. Many gurus suggest a tinted moisturizer or BB cream. The makeup industry also suggests keeping a natural glow to your skin with dewy primers and everyone's' favorite product, highlighter.

4. The Perfect One Piece Swimsuit

Who said one-piece swimsuits can't be sexy? No one! There so many fun and flirty options, you just have to find what style one-piece swim suit works for you.

5. Tube Tops

Tube tops are the perfect summer top for a hot day. Not too much fabric makes for a breezy top. Tube tops can be paired with boyfriend jeans, shorts, and skirts. I love it all!

6. Chunky Hoops

Hoops have been such a staple in fashion for years now. If you are a hoop girl or just a girl looking for the newest trends, the chunky hoops are the way to go this season. And the best part is, you can find them everywhere!

7. Hair Clips

"90s? Oh hey, it's me again!" This trend brings me back to my childhood. There are so many hair clip options online and in-store to truly bring out your personality.

8. Neon

From nails to shirts, shoes, and bathing suits, neon is on everything. This trend is a great way to be bold this summer and bring that summer vibe into your outfit.

9. Biker Shorts

We've all seen this trend on the rise, especially from the Kardashians. They can be dressed up or even with a baggy t-shirt. Biker shorts are a great way to wear a "cool" and laid-back outfit while being comfy.

10. Bucket Hats

A good bucket hat can complete a simple outfit and add the perfect summer vibe. Plus, it's a great way to block your skin from the sun.

Cheers to summer being here and new fashion trends!

Poetry On Odyssey: The Light That Is Manhattan

A poem about anticipation.

Almost there.

The subway station is cold and narrow

But the staircase is just ahead.

No more corners, maps, or the like,

Just the light at the top of the stairs.

They say this city is filled with dreams.

Desires that may not even exist yet.

Dreams that have yet to be achieved,

or so the glow in front of me says.

The wonder builds as the ambiguous light at the top of the

Subway station stairs get brighter.

These steps are a two way street of

Excitement up

Fulfillment down.

May this light soon turn into

Roaring streets

Calm corners

Tranquil parks, and

dreams obtained.

The bright light I see in front of me is the glow of the city.

32 steps and I'm home.
