Star Wars

Recently purchased by Disney, the "Star Wars" franchise is being built back up and is making fans of the films extremely delighted. Many of the fans that grew up with the originals and new upcoming die-hard fans are thrilled to see the triumph that "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" brought, and the approaching release date of "Rogue One" this December. For many fans it is hard to describe this great emotional state right now. So here is a compilation of 10 different gifs to explain how "Star Wars" fans are feeling right now.

1) "Star Wars" is back BABY!

It's been how long since we've all be able to enjoy a WELL written Star Wars movie!? Sorry, but to some the prequels just didn't satisfy how great the re-launch of the story could have been. But J.J. Abrams did the franchise justice with "The Force Awakens" and fans know the truth... "Star Wars" can be saved!

2) When you first saw the Trailer for "The Force Awakens"

When the trailer for "The Force Awakens" first came out for many it was hard to hold back those long held tears. Let it rain, it's OK.

3) And then when you saw the "Rogue One" trailer

Can we just talk about the amount of social media covering the release of this trailer right now?! It's everywhere, therefore you've seen it multiple times.

4) After viewing the trailer

Nothing can satisfy you until December 16 when it is released.

5) Feeling fancy when knowing everything

Die-hard fans have been waiting for this chance... the day to show off their inner nerd! (Disclaimer, being nerdy is not a bad thing. It's actually pretty cool). Old-timers have a grip on all things "Star Wars," and are ready to share their professional knowledge with new viewers.

6) A little confused

When people say they haven't seen "Star Wars", or just watching it for the first time, fans tend to think how have they lived life so long without the Force?

6) When someone says "Star Wars" is dumb

Fans have a lovely list of intergalactic vocab ready to throw at those select few...

7) When someone says "Star Wars" is the best thing ever created

That person is now your new best friend. Now enjoy hours and days of talking in Star Wars terminology and constantly making "Star Wars" references. Roger Roger!

8) Desperately wanting to see the new Star Wars Land at the Disney Parks

Disney and Star Wars, seriously what could be better?! Disney knows its audience and how to make them happy. Star Wars fans have put their dreams in their hands and trust them to do good. With great power comes great responsi- wait... wrong franchise...

9) Wanting to become a Jedi

Be honest, how many lightsabers do you own? If you answered none go buy one! If you answered any number you better be practicing to beat this kid! But not one day goes by that you wish you could use the force.

10) Han. Solo.

The feels right now are too strong! But let's face it, we all saw that scene coming from ten thousand miles away. At least Harrison Ford will be back in a new Indiana Jones!

Yes it is possible to have all of these feelings. Star Wars fans have it hard, but will eventually get over them... eventually... somewhere... in a galaxy far, far away. But until then relish in this glorious time of "Star Wars" everywhere, and embrace your inner nerdiness!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
