Holiday break is a great way to rest after a long semester, hang out with friends from home, and get ready to go back to school. However, break always means family gatherings, and sometimes, your family just has some unwelcome questions and comments.

1. How have your grades been?

Don't ask.

2. Have you found a boyfriend/girlfriend yet?

Don't worry about it!

3. What job are you planning to get with that major?

I'm trying not to worry about that until I absolutely have to.

4. You’d better be studying more than you're partying.

I'd say it's an even mix.

5. What graduate schools are you looking at?

I wish I had the time to worry about that.

6. Are you saving money? Student loans payments are coming sooner than you think.

You think I don't know that?

7. When do you plan on finding your own place?

As soon as I have a way to pay for it.

8. Remember, college is the best time of your life.

So I've been told.

9. Before you know it, you'll be getting married and having kids.

I don't wanna talk about it.

10. We were wondering when you’d come home and visit.

I would come home more, I just have a paper to write every single weekend.
