1. “I Have A 9 AM On A Friday."
The typical I-went-out-the-night-before, why-did-I-take-a-Friday-class outfit. Complete with yoga pants, Victorias Secret sweatshirt, giant sunglasses to hide the fact that you woke up five minutes before class, your comfiest uggs, and the biggest water bottle you cant find. Lets not forget your backpack, which contains nothing more than your chapstick and laptop… so you can at least attempt to pay attention in class.
2. “Wear Your Letters Wednesdays."
Wednesdays. A favorite by sorority girls everywhere. A day where we can all wear our letters on every clothing item we own, and (maybe) not be judged for it. No Wednesday outfit is complete without your favorite pair of letters, leggings, white converse, and monograms. It is on this day that we realize our greek apparel is completely taking over our closets, and we are totally fine with it.
3. “Frat Party Friday."
Frat parties, house parties, whatever you call them- you're probably wearing the same thing as most of your friends. If your go-to is an American Apparel leo and high wasted jeans, congratulations you are on your way to a college frat party. Pair it with some cognac slouchy boots, or combat boots, and there you have your perfect frat boots. Sometimes, we like to swap the leo with a classic crop top. Throw on a statement necklace and a couple of Alex and Anis, your outfit is complete! Before running out the door, grab a few hairties and your pepper spray… you never know when you're going to need it. And finally, your favorite fracket: a college party staple. Last but not least, grab a few dollars and stuff them in your wristlet- you may or may not need them for some late night pizza on your way home.
4. “Going To The Gym."
We are all guilty of wearing an outfit like this one when we don't even make it to the gym, but here's something we all typically wear when working out. Sports bra, leggings, matching Nike shoes, and a thin tank is ideal for the gym. Don't forget your water bottle and headphones, because as much as we love our college gyms, the music we can definitely live without.
5. “Formal/Date Night."
Formals and Date nights, the best days of the year! Your typical date night outfit includes some variation of an American Apparel or Tobi dress, paired with nude or black pumps. The sticky bra is an absolute necessity in your wardrobe, and especially for a date night. Bring a clutch to keep your chapstick and phone handy, you'll be so happy you did.
6. “Sorority Chapter."
It would be a lie if we said we love Sorority Chapter, but at least we can dress cute and feel like we are going places in our lives once every two weeks. The dress code is usually business casual, so if you see a group of sorority girls in business clothing walking to a classroom on a Sunday, you know whats going on. Business pants, blazer, and a light blouse works best. Paired with pumps, (or flats for the most of us), a monogram necklace and some pearl earrings, your outfit is complete! Since we are usually studying all day or laying around in sweats, chances are our hair isn't exactly done- that's why sock buns save the day. Throw on your pin and you're all ready for chapter!
7. “Going To The Bars."
When you're going to bars, you have to make sure you don't look like you're trying too hard. Lay off the crop tops and low cut shirt, and try to dress a bit more casual. Usually, jeans or leather pants paired with a cute jacket and nice boots is what you mostly see in the college bar scene. Grab your cross body bag and put on a bright lipstick, you're ready to go!
8. “First Nice Weather Day."
When that first day of 60 degree weather hits your campus, you see practically every girl out of her yoga pants and uggs, and into her gladiator sandals and funky harem pants. Paired with a flowy tank, jean jacket and ray bans, you have a warm weather ready outfit.
9. “Parents Are Coming To Visit."
Uh oh, it's that time again. Your parents are visiting!
Time to speed clean your entire house, do your laundry, finally make your bed, and hide anything that might make your mom say how disappointed she is in you. Even though it could be stressful, and you have to warn your housemates days in advance and be on your best behavior, it also means that you're probably getting some really good food and (cross your fingers) some cash. This is the day to pull out your button down, pearls, and classic sperries. Its the day to show your parents how put together you are, and maybe even pleasantly surprise them. Hide your sweats!
10. “Walk Of Shame."
We've all been there- late night, date night, or crashing at a friends. It seems like a great idea the night of, but when you have to make it home in broad day light wearing last night's heels and borrowed sweatpants, you start to question your judgement. Its uncomfortable, you look down the entire time, and all you want more than anything is a freaking makeup wipe. But you have to make do, so walk home fast and hide in the giant sweatshirt you were given.
