1. House-Swap

This was made famous by the movie The Holiday. Home Exchange is one of many websites to go online and exchange your home to travel abroad!

2. Volunteer Abroad

There are many programs where you are able to volunteer in exchange for meals and a place to stay. Especially in youth hostels in Europe, which are very popular.

3. Carpool Locally

Find someone taking a road trip and tag along! You are confined to America but hey, there's still a lot to see! Just pitch in gas money, eat some fast food and you're ready to go.

4. Crew a Yacht

Owners of yachts are always looking to hire a crew, why not travel abroad with them? A website to check out is Crew Seekers, a membership fee does apply. But it's a lot cheaper than a plane ticket and hotel!

5. Transport Other People's Vehicles

When people move from one place to another, they also send their car. That's where you come in! You can talk directly with rental car owners and drive a car to a destination and then drive a car back home.

6. WWOOF

You can volunteer here WWOOF for a place to stay and be able to travel. You could work on an organic farm and might even be able to come inside their home and eat a fresh cooked meal.

7. Pick Up Work

A popular job abroad is an aupair. You live in someone's home and take care of their children, house and cleaning in exchange for a place to live. AuPair

8. Organize a Group Tour
