The weather is getting warmer, the days are getting longer and school is going to be over before you know it. Looking for a Sunday Funday? Desperate to leave your bed and the fifth episode in a row of "Revenge" to do something new? Are you a broke college student? Check out these fun things to do in Cincinnati for little to no money.
1. Go on a brewery tour
Cincinnati is famous for them. From Rhinegeist to the Moerlein Tap Room to everything in between, there are tons of breweries in Cincinnati you can check out. Most of them offer a free tour, and some of the more historic. Multi-brewery tours cost between $15-60, but typically include beer at each location. Cincinnati even has it's own whiskey distillery, which you can tour for free, as well!
2. Visit Smale Riverfront Park and ride the carousal
Smale Park is a newer addition to Cincinnati. Head downtown and walk around this riverfront park. It's perfect for photo-ops and cute candid Instas. Relive your childhood and ride on Carol Ann's Carousal for just $2!
3. Rent Red Bikes downtown
For the outdoorsy types, check out a RedBike. For just $8, you can rent one for 24 hours, the only thing is every 60 minutes you need to check the bike into a red bike station, or else you will get charged. From Clifton to Newport, you can ride across the city, over the river and through the woods (if you feel adventurous). What better way to see the city and get your workout in the for week (or year)?
4. Check out Washington Park
This historic park in downtown is one of the greatest parts of Cincinnati. There are tons of events happening every weekend. There are snack stands where you can buy local and domestic beer, a dog park, a playground and so much more. If you haven't been recently, you're missing out.
5. Head to the Cincinnati Museum of Art, Taft Museum of Art or Contemporary Arts Center
The Cincinnati Museum of Art is free every day (just pay for parking), the Taft Museum is free on Sundays and the Contemporary Arts Center is now offering free admission. Check out these amazing galleries and learn a little thing or two about art.
6. Attend a Reds game
Who doesn't love a little bit of baseball in the spring? The Reds' season kicks off April 4. The stadium's hidden gem is the two $1 concession stands, offering $1 hot dogs, popcorn, soda and peanuts! Get cheap tickets in advance for $5-12!. And if you didn't already know, Great American Ballpark is adding a rooftop patio available for fans who buy $15 tickets in sections 408-410, and this includes a drink, either a 16-ounce craft beer, a 20-ounce domestic beer, a Coca-Cola product or bottled water.
7. Visit a Hamilton County Park
They are 17 parks across the city, and for $3, you can buy a day pass, or $10 gets you a year of visits to any park. Go for a run in the woods, ride pedal boats or picnic with your friends. There is a ton you can do and see in the parks. Did I mention cute Insta pics?
8. Travel to the Carew Tower Observation Deck
For $4, you can travel to the top of the Carew Tower and check out Cincinnati like you've never seen it before.
9. Findlay Market and wine tasting.
Probably one of my favorite things about Sundays. Head down to Market Wines in Findlay Market, and for $7, you get to try four different wines, and their "samples" are pretty generous. Walk through the market, and you can buy local produce for half the price of Kroger or Whole Foods. Save tons of money and support the community? C'mon now.
10. Visit Sawyer's Point.
An old but hidden gem of the city. Located on the river, you can walk along the Serpentine Wall, and it's complete with tennis courts and sand volleyball courts. Every Wednesday in the summer, there is Party in the Park, and there are tons of events, some you have to pay for and some are free, year round!
There's obviously hundreds of things to do in Cincinnati. If you think of anything else, let me know in the comments!
