Every college student should understand the importance of Buzzfeed videos. It's what you need in the middle of a ten-page paper to distract yourself. Once you click on one video, it's hard to not click on another one. They're addicting to watch because of their relatability, accuracy, and enjoyability. They will make you laugh, cry and nod your head in agreement. Buzzfeed is essential for college students and if you don't know about it, you're missing out.

Buzzfeed is a media company that produces articles, videos, and quizzes to entertain people on the Internet. I spend an unlawful amount of time on their website and have seen most of what it has to offer. My favorite aspect of it is the videos that not only are informative but can also be very funny. These are specific categories of Buzzfeed videos that are worth the watch:

1. Weirdest Misheard Lyrics

Do you ever listen to a song and completely butcher the lyrics? Yeah, same. With weirdest misheard lyrics you can hear the lyrics that other people believe are right. With actions and commentary with the lyrics, these videos are sure to make you laugh.

2. Disney Remakes

Disney lovers or even Disney haters will like these videos. It is a funny criticism of the ridiculousness of Disney, but also a hysterical interpretation of what would happen if Disney was in modern times. Sometimes it takes a few views to understand the jokes fully, but it's definitely worth the watch.

3. Things That Would Be Creepy

Have you ever imagined what a person would do if they acted like a cat or a dog? This guy loves to make videos of things that are creepy if you did them. They put into perspective the ridiculous things that happen on a daily basis that would be really weird if people actually did them. Also, they're hilarious.

4. Debatable

Everyone has preferences and argues what they think is better. Debatable videos take common things people argue about, like ketchup vs. mustard, and make people argue what they think is better. Sometimes they get very intense and it makes you pick a side. As you watch, you find yourself agreeing with one side more than the other. Bring it up with your friends and see what happens, it'll probably look a lot like this.

5. The Try Guys

My personal favorite is the Try Guys. Four best friends that take the most random ideas they could probably come up with and put them into action. Watching them together is like watching a sitcom. The Santa Claus video was completely acceptable during Christmas time, but it's too good not to watch every other time of the year too.

6. Taste Tests

Do you ever wonder what certain food combinations taste like? Buzzfeed loves to make people try weird food combinations or try to guess certain foods. They also have fast food taste tests or candy taste tests. There's something satisfying about watching people eat food that they'll either love or want to puke up.

7. Experiments

Buzzfeed staff love to experiment and document their experiences. They tend to be put in really strange situations that end in lots of laughs. Another video is letting Twitter users make all your decisions for you. I have no idea why these people would let these things happen to them, but it is hilarious to watch.

8. Couples

You can either watch really cheesy couple videos or you can watch couples being ridiculous together. For example, watch couples prank each other with a fake secret that can get really gross. Even if you're single and don't like to watch loving couples, they're worth the watch. Most of the time they're hilarious videos that make you question how people could be together.

9. Life Hacks

Life hacks are ways Buzzfeed staff change their lives for a certain amount of time to challenge themselves. These are some of my favorite videos because you can see how someone's life can truly change by just a slight alteration in their life. For example, drinking only water for 30 days or switching from being a night person to a day person. Sometimes these changes can be really healthy and they could change your life as well.

10. Cool Science

Buzzfeed isn't all about funny and life changing videos. Buzzfeed produces videos with interesting facts and cool science. These videos surprise you and make you think. I find these the most interesting because they could be so surprising and it shows the secret aspects of the world that you might not know about.

Midterms are coming up and it's the perfect time to get distracted by funny videos. College procrastination and Buzzfeed videos were made for each other. Get watching.
