1. "No Hands' by Waka Flocka Flame

It wouldn't be a throwback playlist without this song.

2. "I Love College" by Asher Roth

This song was one of my friends and I's favorites. It is so fun and we always scream this whenever it's played.

3. "Whatcha Say' by Jason Derulo

Jason Derulo is an icon. That's all.

4. "Like a G6" by Far East Movement

I really shouldn't have been singing this when I was 10 years old.

5. "Don't Trust Me" by 30H!3

This song is actually insane but it is so so good.

If you don't remember this song, go listen to it. You will not regret it.

Honestly, this song makes me feel unstoppable.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
