Why Is 'Finding Dory' On Netflix, But 'Nemo' Isn't?

Dear Netflix,

I would like to make a complaint. I am always happy to see when there are new arrivals on Netflix but I was very disappointed to see that Finding Dory was put on without Finding Nemo. There wouldn't have been Finding Dory without Finding Nemo. Finding Nemo is a classic! I remember going to see Finding Nemo in theaters when I was six years old and being hooked on it ever since. Once I heard rumors about there being a Finding Dory movie, I was thrilled! I knew I had to see it. I was impressed with Finding Dory; it was such a great movie. I need to rewatch it one of these days and I'm glad that I can now since it's on Netflix.

But I haven't forgot about Finding Nemo. Once I made my Netflix account, one of the first movies I looked for was Finding Nemo. I was actually shocked when I didn't see it. I thought to myself, "How does Netflix not have this childhood classic?!" At this point, I'm sure I have the movie recognized line for line. Whether it is the whale scene with Dory attempting to speak whale while her and Marlin are actually in the whale (I like how they incorporated that in Finding Dory by the way), the scene with Crush and Squirt, Shart Bait Hoo Haha, and so many more, it is a shame that I can't view all that greatness on Netflix. I just have to hope that one day I am watching tv and I see Finding Nemo on the guide and can switch the channel and watch it but it would be so much better if I could stream it anytime I wanted on Netflix. You know what would make a great movie night? Watching Finding Nemo then Finding Dory right after. If only that could be made possible.

This isn't to bash on Finding Dory at all either! I actually wrote an article on the movie after seeing it. To all who are reading, I definitely recommend watching Finding Dory if you haven't already. If you loved Finding Nemo growing up, you will definitely fall in love with Finding Dory. I know I wasn't the only young adult in the movie theater watching. There were so many of us! To be honest, we probably enjoyed it more than the kids in the theater did.

The fact that Finding Dory was released in 2016 and Finding Nemo was released 2003 but Finding Dory got on Netflix before Finding Nemo did is insane! Finding Nemo is practically 14 years old which is crazy to even think about. It deserves a spot in that Children and Family section on Netflix. I'm not sure what exactly it takes to get a movie on Netflix but if you could please try to make it happen I would greatly appreciate it!

Sincerely,

A Finding Nemo and Finding Dory Fan

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
