Social media is seriously one of the weirdest concepts nowadays.
You could be "friends" with someone (literally) (not actually) on social media, but never have had a real conversation with them in life.
You follow them, like all their pics, and even comment, "Omg you're so pretty!"
But if you saw these people in public, would you say hi to them? It sounds like such a simple question, but would you feel awkward?
You don't actually know this person. You don't know have if they have a dog, what town they live in, or their major in college. So, how could you say you're friends with them?
You really only know as much about them as they post on their social media. But, this could also be an inaccurate representation of their life. Girls always post pictures of their "Bestiezzz" but in real life, they're just s**t talking them.
They post pics of them at the beach constantly at all times of the year. Are they actually on vacation? Or are they just posting pics from the past?
On the other hand, social media can create friendships. This is kind of awkward, too.
You only snap chat someone, so you see what they're doing during their daily life routine. They send randomly selfies and half-ass pictures of what they are up to. You see this person in public. Do you say hi to them?
You have 2,000+ followers.
Do you even know 500 of them?
This s**t doesn't add up...
