5 Easy Eyebrow Hacks That Will Change Your Life, For The Better, For Real

It seems like such a silly topic, but I don't know anyone that's not obsessed with their eyebrows.

5 Easy Eyebrow Hacks That Will Change Your Life, For The Better, For Real

Eyebrows are something most women spent ten minutes a day "doing." Especially on days that they wear makeup. Think about it. ten minutes a day goes to "doing" your eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil or whatever it may be that you use. Fifteen minutes every other week getting them waxed/plucked/trimmed. That's 4,080 minutes a year.

So, here are some eyebrow hacks that will save you time and make your eyebrows look perfect.

1. Stop going to your hair dresser to get your eyebrows "done"

Hairdressers are head hair dressers... most of them don't have the proper training to wax your eyebrows. I learned this after going to my hair dresser for years and then going into an Ulta Beauty store to get my eyebrows done. The experience was totally different and the woman that did my eyebrows at Ulta mapped them out and took her time. My hair dresser usually just took a look at my brows, threw some wax on them, ripped it off, and called it a day. Find an Ulta or another eyebrow particular business to go to rather than your hair dresser! It makes a huge difference.

2. As bad as it sucks, let those suckers grow out

When I was in seventh grade, I started plucking my eyebrows and I plucked them down to almost nothing. I still regret it and if I could go back and change five things about my early teenage years, that would be one of them (and there were many mistakes made that should be far more important than eyebrows...)

3. Stop buying products online to make your eyebrows grow

Although the products you see advertised on Facebook by your friends and family seem like they would work, in my experience, they don't. I spent a couple hundred dollars altogether on eyebrow/eyelash growth serum and all it did was irritate my eye area and make my lash line and eyebrows extremely red. Try using castor oil instead. I used this for a while and it helped my eyebrows even out!

4. Using a skinny eyebrow pencil showed me a new world

I use something called "Precisely, My Brow Pencil." This particular eyebrow pencil looks more natural than not and it's quick and easy to use.

5. "Eyebrows are sisters, not twins"

When my brows are uneven it drives me crazy. After spending 30 minutes of your day to apply your makeup, having uneven brows makes you feel "unfinished." Buuut the sooner you can accept the fact that eyebrows are sisters and not twins, the happier you'll be with your finished look.

Even though this is a short list, it's a useful one. Eyebrows are one of the first things people see when they look at you aside from your eyes and your smile, so it's easy to feel insecure about them. The last thing you want it for your eyebrows to look almost non-existent or like they're drawn on with a sharpie. Follow this list for a few months and watch your eyebrows change into the brows you've always wanted!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
