7 Reasons Why Chandler and Monica Are the Most Underrated Couple in "Friends"

Coming to the end of my sophomore year of college, sick of the GEs and the busy work, I decided it would be a good idea to start watching Friends on Netflix. I remembered watching the show as a child, but I had never watched it consecutively. The one thing I had always remembered was how amazing Ross and Rachel's relationship was; I dreamed of one day having my "lobster." However, as I began to re-watch the series, I noticed these things about how great Monica and Chandler's relationship was.

1. Their friendship simply turned into something more

Throughout the first few seasons, it is evident that Monica and Chandler's friendship was a special one. Whenever either of them were having problems in the love department, they were there to pick each other off their feet. Neither of them ever had a crush on the other, but there were a couple episodes that foreshadowed something was going to happen with them in the future.

2. They are honest with each other

One of the biggest problems with Ross and Rachel's relationship was the miscommunication (we're they really on a break?). When it came to Monica and Chandler, they were always honest with each other. Monica would always tell Chandler when he wasn't being serious enough and Chandler would always tell Monica when her neurotic ways got in the way of their relationship.

3. They would do ANYTHING for each other

Their loyalty to each other was shown before they were even in a committed relationship. When they were at the beach and Monica got stung by a jellyfish, Chandler volunteered to pee on Monica to make the pain go away. Not many guys can do that and still love a girl romantically after.

4. They always supported each other

When Chandler had to move to Tulsa because he fell asleep during a meeting, Monica was angry at first but wouldn't agree to be apart from the love of her life. When Monica was offered her dream job, Chandler decided to let her do it and he would go to Tulsa alone. When Chandler quit his job in Tulsa because he hated it, Monica was incredibly supportive and didn't worry about the financial toll that would come with it.

5. They showed you that even the guy that is terrified of commitment will commit if the right girl comes around

It was always the joke of the show that Chandler was terrified of marriage and commitment. But Monica changed all of this. Not only that, Monica loved him knowing he was afraid of commitment because she loved him so much. And, if you watch the episode "The One With The Proposal" (both parts), you can really see how love changed Chandler and the impact Monica had on him.

6. They were there for each other through the good and the bad

"The One With The Fertility Test" is probably one of the saddest episodes of Friends. Everyone who has watched this show knows how important it was to Monica that she gets married and has kids. She got married, but had a really hard time getting pregnant. In this episode, we found out that not only is Chandler unable to have kids, but neither is Monica. Chandler and Monica are always goofing around with each other, but to see them emotionally be there for one another showed just how strong their relationship is.

7. They're Monica and Chandler

They are the ultimate couple. Through better or worst, sarcastic or serious, fat or skinny, rich or poor, there was never a couple on Friends that was stronger than these two: the ultimate dream team. Could they BE any more perfect?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
