1. Describe your perfect first date. A day at Devil’s Lake State Park: have a picnic, toss the Frisbee around, and do some hiking! 

2. Favorite breakfast food? Bacon made by DG’s Chef Jamie.   

3. If you could date any celebrity, who would it be? Luke Bryan. 

4. What would the title of your memoir be? How to Steal Spoons and Ding Dong Ditch Frat Houses Through the Eyes of MadsFlynn.   

5. If you could go to one restaurant in Madison for the next 3 years, where would you go? Brochach. Great beer, great vibes, and some great live Irish music.   

6. Texting or talking on the phone? Talking on the phone.   

7. What was the first concert you ever went to? Britney Spears, Oops!... I Did it Again Tour.  

8. What’s your favorite quality in a guy? A sense of humor.   

9. If you had 1 million dollars how would you spend it?  I would buy House Mom Jean a sick new whip and some shades.   

10. Where can you typically be found on a Friday night? Karaoke Kid singing/rapping “Where is the Love” by Black Eyed Peas. 

11. What TV show is your guilty pleasure?  Friends.   

12.  Biggest turn off? Negativity. Also someone who is a Chicago Bears fan.  

13. What was your best tweet? “Applied to be on @Wipeout last night!!!!! #DREAMINBIG”   

14. Anything else you want people to know about you? I smell like pine needles and have a face like sunshine.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
