Some of us do not enjoy scary movies, while others (like me), love them. Since it is first week for most quarter system students, we can take some time off of all the fun and enjoy some horror movies.
Now one of the best sources of movie collection paradise is Netflix. For those of you who have it, this is a list composed of popular and less known horror movies that have not been as publicized but do deserve some recognition.
The Omen. This is an old classic that would leave you feeling conflicted between saving a child or whatever that is possessing him. This movie left me sitting on the edge of my seat. It would be a good fit if you are into mysterious devil like activities.
Maniac. Remember the kid from Lord of the Rings series? Well he plays the main character in this movie as a serial killer. The movie composes of stalking beautiful women, murder, mannequins. Creepy ones...
Rosemary's Baby. I fell in love with Mia Farrow from The Great Gatsby, and she continued to amazed me when I watched this movie. Throughout the whole time, you will be wondering as to what is laying inside that baby crib or why the neighbors are acting so different.
Let the Right One In. Multiple versions of this movie have been made. This is a vampire movie with a twist at the end that leaves you feeling sorry for the characters.
The Den. Once you are finished with this movie, you will question humanity's evil. A grad student is doing research by seeing how strangers interact with each other on a chat website. Unfortunately, she began to become a victim of something deadly after witnessing a murder online.
Oculus. We all encounter mirrors everyday of our lives, well this movie will leave you a little scared to look into your mirror afterwards. Oculus is about a haunted mirror that destroys people over decades. It contains superstition, psychological and emotional confusion.
Day of the Dead. This movie is one of the old classic zombie movies that have inspired TV show series like The Walking Dead. Just because it was made in 1989, it does not mean that the movie lacks bloody graphics because this movie will leave you nausea afterwards.
You're Next. Did you like The Purge? Did you not like The Purge? Well this movie is a better version of a home invasion filled with realistic killers that die and people that would fight back for their own lives, unlike other hostage movies.
Antichrist. Although this movie has a similar plot of a couple losing their son like other horror movies, it does carry an artistic sense to the story. Starring Willem Dafoe, the movie comprises of madness and confusion.
Now that there is a list of possible movies, why not watch them all instead of spending so much time debating on what to what? Enjoy your Spring Break, and if you dare, watch these movies in the dark when you are trying to relax...or will you?
