I consider makeup art in a sense and when it came to learning all about it, the information didn't just fall into my lap. I always turn to these 10 amazing artists on Youtube for the new trends, what products to use and the tips and tricks to having a flawless face of makeup.

1. NikkieTutorials

Nikkie is from Amsterdam, Netherlands and has been on Youtube for 10 years now. Her channel is the place to go to if you're looking for something extremely full coverage. She even refers to herself as the "full coverage Queen". Her go to is a brown smoky half cut crease, but she often uses many neons and bright colors on her channel as well.

2. Manny Mua

Manny is definitely my favorite male in the beauty community. His videos are very unique and he's always very honest in his reviews. Not one of his looks is ever the same. I always go to his channel if I'm looking for something fresh and new to try out. On top of that, his personality and humor are always something to look forward to in his videos.

3. Jaclyn Hill

If you are looking to use the most expensive products that are out right now, this is the channel to go to. Jaclyn loves her top of the line makeup products but knows how to use them flawlessly. She gives amazing tips that are very useful. She also collaborated with Morphe to create her own eyeshadow palette that is to die for (yes, I have it).

4. Laura Lee

Laura is originally from Alabama so she has the cutest accent. She does a lot of reviews, life hack videos, first impressions and many fun videos as well. She definitely puts unique content out there and tries to be different from others.

5. Jeffreestar

Jeffree Star actually used to be in the music industry and just joined Youtube only 2 years ago. He has his own makeup line called Jeffree Star Cosmetics and it is absolutely amazing. His channel is the best if you want a brutally honest opinion on a new product or if you want to see him put his own products from his line to use.

6. James Charles

James is also fairly new to Youtube. He decided to join after becoming the first male spokesmodel for Covergirl in 2016. James is also a fan of using bright color and loves a half cut crease or a spotlight smoky eye. He can also teach you how to snatch your nose like no one else and he will constantly remind you to use code JAMES for 10% off at Morphe.

7. Tati

Tati Westbrook joined Youtube in 2010 and is known as the Glam Life Guru. She uploads videos 5 times a week and literally tests out every product under the sun. She does it all from get ready with me videos to reviews, to tip Tuesdays, hot or not reviews etc. Her channel is the perfect place to go if you want to see a little bit of everything going on in the makeup world.

8. Jackie Aina

Jackie is the new Youtuber I have added to my list of people to watch. She is literally so funny and so real in her videos and her intro song will get stuck in your head. She doesn't only do makeup, she does hair videos too and her fashion videos are a much watch as well.

9. CC Clarke Beauty

CC is from the UK, I could listen to her talk for hours. Her channel is the place for all of your lip needs. She has so many lipstick tutorials and how to create certain looks. She also knows a lot about skincare and is super helpful in that area. She has her own wig collection as well if you're into that.

10. leyla Rose

Leyla is also from the UK. She has a smaller channel but is the channel for you if you have acne prone skin. The girl can color correct like a champ. She gives really useful tips on what products to use when your skin just isn't cooperating and how to settle it down after an acne flare up.

11. Keilida Mua

Keilida is an Irish makeup artist. She teaches a lot of master classes over in Ireland and in Europe. She knows her stuff when it comes to makeup. I've learned so much from her whether it's about hooded eyes, having a leaky eye, how to do certain makeup techniques. I would definitely check out her channel.

These are all people I have lived by for the past couple of years. They are all amazing artist and have taught me so much when it comes to makeup. It's honestly so relaxing to come home after a long day and to watch some of their videos every week.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
