In This Article:

I love self-help content, whether it be books, podcasts, documentaries, or Youtube videos. There are so many good Youtube channels devoted to personal growth, motivation, and life advice that are worth watching if you are into using this content to better yourself and your life. Here are my favorites.

1. Carrie Rad

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyee8AQyV6g2SGwRjghFb_g

Carrie Rad posts videos regarding self-care, healthy habits, productivity, and traveling. Currently, she is creating a series called "Self Care Summer" and her past series include "Love Your Life" and "Self Love Sunday". If you get inspired by listening to other people's experiences with self-improvement, you should check out Carrie!

2. Rowena Tsai

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaYF1G_L5J7sqJzEeBVUDzw

Rowena Tsai is interesting because she has made a huge change in her life since her teenage years. She was a depressed, reckless party girl until she made the decision to get her life together. She is very open about her struggles and how she has gotten to where she is today. Rowena's channel is a real look inside of someone's life as they are trying to improve themselves, and a good reminder that perfection does not exist.

3. muchelleb

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0sA4gvlWFHfdwaPlBDqnGg

muchelleb runs a great channel about living intentionally, including mindfulness, minimalism, and productivity. Muchelle's videos tend to be shorter and more edited, so they're perfect for people who want to make improvements but don't have the time or attention span for extensive research. Her tips are practical and can be easily applied to your every day life.

4. Kalyn Nicholson

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-CZmKnJbjGWAzJd6cIVUMg

Kalyn Nicholson is one of my all time favorites. She's such a genuine person and is charismatic and open online about her thoughts and where she is at in her life and I feel like I relate to her more than anyone else I have come across online. She makes videos about fitness, routines, traveling, and so much more. Her videos are so well edited and put together: pleasing to watch!

5. KOZE

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCh2_ulpQc_57Tcf49eSEmHA

KOZE is Kalyn Nicholson's second channel, but I think it has valuable content in addition to her main channel. Here, Kalyn has recently been posting short "daily brews" in which she talks about a topic candidly. These videos are less edited and more about deeper concepts, like self love and emotional maintenance.

6. Sedona Christina

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCM6cN45p-QTDRwVPVPRpfYQ

Sedona Christina is a channel focused around intentional living, including videos about zero waste living, veganism, and self care. Christine is such a pleasant person to listen to. It is quite obvious that she is passionate about what she talks about and I really appreciate how much she loves what she does. If you are interested in environmentalism and lessening your physical impact as a human, this is a great channel to start with.

7. Andrew Kirby

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8JNIm02zw8h_3NBrP_zsZA

Andrew Kirby is a bit different. He is more focused on optimizing your daily routines and habits for success. He also posts a lot about stoicism, as this is his life philosophy. I'm not super into stoicism but I feel like I learn a lot from his videos about what works and what doesn't when it comes to habits and keeping your shit together.

8. Thomas Frank

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCG-KntY7aVnIGXYEBQvmBAQ

Thomas Frank's channel basically holds everything you ever need to know to be an effective student. He posts tips about studying, being successful in college, and getting jobs. If you are looking to improve your academic or work life, Thomas's channel is the best place to go on Youtube.

9. Nathaniel Drew

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCrdWRLq10OHuy7HmSckV3Vg

Nathaniel Drew is another interesting one. He typically challenges himself to change something about his routine for a period of time and documents what happens. The video I first found was titled "Meditating One Hour A Day Is Changing My Life" and I found it so inspiring. He really shows what can happen if you try to change your behavior in the form of habits.

10. TED and TEDx

https://www.youtube.com/user/TEDtalksDirector

Called me old fashioned but I think we all can learn a lot from simple TED talks! There's so many on psychology, science, and just people's own human experiences that can be motivational and inspiring. So much information to take in... TED talks can be so underrated.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
