World Light Foundation was founded in 2004 to be hope for orphaned children of Ukraine. Throughout the past twelve years, this foundation has nurtured and given a home to children from a variety of backgrounds. In 2016, this organization began opening its doors to children with mental and physical handicaps. Over the last summer, I was given the opportunity to travel to Ukraine for the grand opening celebration. In a country where many children with handicaps are abandoned at birth, World Light Foundation hopes to bring hope and community to these children and their families.
