Women are often seen as the gentler sex. We are often seen as the caregivers to our significant others, friends and families. We are seen as the foundation of our households. Unfortunately, though, more times than not, women are also seen as casual sex toys.
We are cat called, sneered at, looked at differently and judged because of our bodies. We even get judged for the respect that we have for our bodies and our physical well-being. This world has casualized sex so much that it is almost seen as a game. A game to see who can have the most sex with the most women. Sex never was and never is a game.
Period.
We are often judged for losing our virginity too soon, but many are judged for having not lost it soon enough, based on society's standards.
So what?
Sex is supposed to be a sacred act done by you and the person you love in the holy sanctity of marriage. Sex isn't something that we should or can just throw around. It sure as heck shouldn't be called a fling, either. Sex is supposed to be done in marriage as a covenant between God, you and your partner.
Sex is supposed to be a special, intimate time, spent with you and your husband. If you honor your body and wait until you're married to the right person, then it will be even more special. (Notice, I didn't say wait until you are with the right person, I said wait until you are married to the right person).
When that time comes for you to consecrate your marriage, God will bless your union together, because it is ordained by Him and kept sacred and holy. As long as you keep God in the center of your marriage it will blossom and you will even be able to work through disagreements, arguments and financial difficulties easier.
The most important thing for all women to remember is, you are made in God's perfect image. God made you just the way you are, for His reason and His reason alone. Your body is your body. It is also God's Temple. 1 Corinthians 6:19 says,
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own.
Women are made in God’s image from the rib of man. That’s a very special way to think about ourselves. God said it wasn’t and isn’t good for man to be alone so He decided the best way to fix it was to give man a partner.
Adam was put into a deep sleep, and the Lord took out a rib from his body and made it into the woman named Eve. We are all descendants of Eve, so we are here to be men’s partners.
I know not every woman will get married, and that not every woman will date, but it is interesting to know where we came from and how God made us. Remember, you are all His creation, no matter how the world or anyone else in it looks at you. God has love for you and looks at you as His precious daughters whom He would do anything for. That’s why He created each woman with different abilities.
As said before, not every woman will get married, but when you find the right guy, you’ll just know. Verses about women and marriage include Proverbs 31:10-12, which says,
“An excellent wife, who can find? For her worth is far above jewels. The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil all the days of her life”.
No woman should ever feel as though she isn’t good enough. That is the lie that Satan has put in every woman’s head all too often. You are good enough and can do anything you set your mind to. God gave you unique abilities to fit your personality. Don’t let Satan or anyone else ever take your God given gifts away from you. Use those gifts to spread joy to other people.
Don’t forget to treat yourself with respect, too. Anyone, you are friends with, in a relationship with, and people in your family should realize that respect always goes a long way. Find the right guy that treats you the way you deserve to be treated. Find the friends that treat you the way you deserve to be treated, too. Treat others the way you want to be treated, and they will most likely do the same thing back.
You are a treasure to God and the daughter of the highest King.
Live your life for Him.
Bring others to Christ through your words and actions.
Show the world who you really are.
Show the world who you are in Christ.
Show the world what you’re made of.
Don’t be afraid to let the love of Jesus shine through you.
There is no one that can love you more than God does. No matter how anyone else may treat you or feel about you, God loves you.
Women, stand up for your rights to protect your body. Stand up as women of the faith. Pray that God grants you the courage, strength and fortitude to know what is best for you in your life, whether it is a partner in marriage or not.
Remember no name calling, jeers or questions thrown at you can ever change the love that the Lord has for you. You are precious in His sight.
