Wikipedia is the site almost all people go to when they want to gain knowledge on a topic they don’t know much about. Wikipedia gets the stereotype of being an unreliable source for information because the information can be added by anyone in the community. However, what most people fail to think about is that the site is heavily monitored by not just admins but also bots. These bots help to ensure that information that is posted onto any page is accurate. One notable feature on the site that I think is useful are the links that are highlighted in blue. These links bring you to a different page and explain what the highlighted information means. This feature saves me time and energy when researching a topic I am not familiar with. While educators may not approve of the website being a credible source I will continue using the site to help familiarize myself with information.
