Music festivals are usually held annually and last one to four days. Depending on the size of the festival, there could be one stage or multiple. There aren't just the big ones like Coachella and Lollapalooza. There are smaller ones, like Breakaway. If you think it isn't in your budget, you don't need to drop $200 for just one day. There are ones that are around that you could afford, sometimes you just need to do a little research.
1. Meet great people.
Everyone is there for the same artists or the same genre in music. You already have a common like with the hundreds of other people that are attending the festival. It is amazing to see so many people there for just country music or EDM or Chance The Rapper. You are more than likely to meet at least one new friend.
2. Good music.
There are so many different kinds of music festivals that you can go to that there will be one for your exact taste. You will be able to see the people you want to see and hear the kind of songs you want to hear.
3. Atmosphere.
It doesn't matter if you want a more chill atmosphere or absolute banger where everyone is going crazy. Just at one small music festival you can choose how you want to spend your time. You can grab some blankets and hang on the grass while you watch the performance or be right in the middle of the mosh pit with everyone dancing.
4. It's an experience.
I always believe that money is worth spending if you are buying a memory. When I attended my first music festival the money, I spent to go becomes irrelevant because being able to spend time with my friends and create such amazing memories that I will have forever. If you think music festivals really aren't your style, do some research, grab some friends, and just GO. Don't ever assume you don't like something because who knows, you may find you love it.
