10 Reasons To Travel The World Over
Natasha Trivedi

Travel seems tiring, but it's the best thing someone can do for themselves. Here are some reasons why.

1. It's a learning experience.

Sure, there's always reading, but it's not the same as physically experiencing something new.

2. You get to meet new people.

No matter where you go in the world, you'll always find someone who's not like anyone you'll find back home.

3. Potentially learning a new language.

You never know when being multilingual will come in handy.

4. Seeing the world through someone else's eyes.

Seeing how others live often makes us think about our lives in ways that we usually never would have, and it is humbling.

5. Getting to see new places.

This is always an amazing experience. My personal goal is to see all 7 wonders of the world.

7. Exploring a new culture.

We only know what we have for the most part, so seeing what make's up other's worlds is always something new,

8. Leaving your comfort zone.

Do something you're afraid to do, otherwise, you'll regret it forever.

9. seeing something you would never see anywhere else.

Almost every place in the world has everything that makes it unique.

10. It's an escape.

Almost like a break from reality, no matter where you're going.

The Mets And Me

They may be the worst sometimes, but this baseball team has given me more than I could ask for.

On September 3rd, 2001, a sea of children littered my home's navy-carpeted den to watch baseball during my dad's 40th birthday extravaganza. A baseball game flickered on the TV, and a red and blue bubble of a scoreboard sat in the bottom right corner of the screen. The New York Mets and the Philadelphia Phillies were in a wild game at Veterans' Stadium. As I, a five-year-old boy with a jumble of curly blonde hair, sat in the back of the kid clump, I wondered which team I should root for. After a long debate with myself, I decided that I should root for the team that's winning (duh). But, as the ninth inning rolled around with the Phils maintaining a 7-5 lead, some magic occurred. The Mets put up five runs in one frame, stunning the Phillie fans in the room and winning the game 10-7.

The car is all packed. The money you saved (and didn't spend online) from your summer internship is secured quietly in your bank account.
