8 Reasons We Miss the Hannah Montana Days
HQ Celebrity

As of January 11, 2017, Hannah Montana will be off the air for 6 years. Believe it or not, our favorite singer who lived the best of both worlds has moved on to bigger and better things. Now, Hannah is just Miley and we must admit that sometimes we wish Hannah Montana was real. Where did the time go? It seems like only yesterday we watched the pilot episode of a show that would last 4 seasons and create something that will always live on in hearts all around the globe.

We miss the days of watching Jackson make a fool of himself or living vicariously through Miley and Lilly’s friendship. There was something special about curling up on the couch every Friday night so we could watch the life of Hannah Montana and Miley Stewart. In honor of the series and coming to terms that Lilly Truscott, Miley Stewart and Oliver Oken will never ever be getting back together — we have compiled a list of things we miss most about the Hannah Montana days. After all, it was one of the best Disney shows on television.

Read on and make sure to tell us what you miss most about the television series.

1. Friendship

One of the best things about Hannah Montana was the importance of friendship. Lilly, Oliver and Miley were the best of friends and that was evident in every interaction we saw with them. When Lily and Oliver started dating, Miley supported them even though she thought it was strange. We especially loved it when Miley chose college and Lilly over superstardom and a movie. Friendship is important and we have Miley, Lilly and Oliver to thank for showing us that.

2. Good Music:

The show gave us great music to listen to on a weekly basis. There was nothing better than learning a new Hannah Montana song and singing along to the old ones. ‘Best of Both Worlds’ and ‘Nobody’s Perfect’ are the classics. Let’s not forget about ‘Who Said,’ and the awesome collaboration with David Archuletta on ‘I Wanna Know You’. We can’t just pick a favorite though because every song was and is that good. Not to mention, three of the seven soundtracks released within the series topped the US Billboard 200 Chart. Miley made Hannah Montana a reality by going on tour as miss Montana, with shows selling out. This alone supported the foundation of Miley Cyrus’ real life career as a pop star.

3. Hannah’s Closet:

Can you imagine owning half the clothes Hannah had in her wardrobe? Sparkly dresses to super cute casual outfits are what we longed for while watching the popular TV series. Every week we anticipated what Miley or Hannah would be wearing. Leave it to Hannah to always look fabulous wherever she went. One of the last episodes of the series even showcased Hannah’s closet as it played back memories throughout the show. Her wardrobe was an essential part of what made the show what it was.

4. The light-hearted Miley:

We love the Miley in the Disney show television series. She was funny and light hearted at best. How can you not love lines like “Say what?,’ and “sweet niblets”. We also can’t forget when Miley teased and messed around with her brother Jackson, had a sassy yet funny attitude with Lily, and most importantly she always had a positive outlook on life. Even through the complications of her life and the struggles she faced, Miley always made sure she had a sense of optimism.

5. Real Life Struggles

Let’s face it, Hannah and Miley both had their fair share of struggles in the show. The struggles weren’t struggles of a pop star but struggles of a normal human being. Every struggle that they faced was teaching us courage and how to be brave. It’s why we could all relate to the show. There were life lessons in every episode and those lessons were something we could apply to our real life situations such as, getting into college, boy drama or chasing a dream you’ve wanted you’re entire life. Whatever you were going through, the show was a good reminder that you can do anything you put your mind to.

6. Inspiration.

Hannah Montana wasn’t just for laughs. It taught us about life and gave us someone to look up to. Hannah Montana was a role model and inspiration for everyone who watched. It was best shown in the movie when revealing herself to everyone in her hometown or when she took her wig off on national television. Taking off her wig taught everyone the courage to be brave and inspiring us all to have the courage do that in our own lives. What is the one thing that you need the courage to do? What is the wig that you need to be brave enough to take off? Let Miley encourage you that although being brave can be scary, it’s worth it in the end.

7. Family is Important

Miley’s family may have their quirks and get poked fun at but she loves them regardless. Her father Robby Ray and brother Jackson provide the framework to the family structure in the show but then there is also her aunt Dolly played by the famous Dolly Parton. Sometimes her family doesn’t see eye to eye, but at the end of the day whether it be struggling with having two identities or following a dream, Miley is always reminded that family is important, and that no matter what happens in life they will always love you.

8. Miley/Hannah was just like us

No matter if you watched the show once or a million times, you know that these two characters were just like us. Sure, one was a superstar but she was grounded and down to earth because she was still Miley. We walked through life with both of them. There were tears when they had tears and there was celebration when they were celebrating. Life was best when we had the days of singing, laughing, crying and learning with Miley and Hannah. Rest assured, the show is missed and will live on in our lives forever

Thank you Miley for giving us Hannah Montana. .

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

Find excitement in your life and start exploring wherever you are right here, right now.

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.

1. You’ve slipped and fallen on the ice at least once.

The winters at Kent are brutal, and while the heated sidewalks and some great snow boots are always a help, there’s no chance you won’t bust it on the ice at least once in your four plus years at school.
