Series vs. Standalones. What Do I Choose? Standalones Of Course!

Series can be very long. The more books, the more you have to read. Sometimes, I wish the series will end. Sometimes, too long can be bad for the story itself. Later on, the story changes, and those changes can change your perspective of the story.

I like to read books. There are others that like to read books as well. Reading is a fun and relaxing hobby. Books come in series or as standalones. Series are books that come after another to show or represent a story. Standalones are books that stand by itself. I prefer reading standalones to series.

Series can be very long. The more books, the more you have to read. Sometimes, I wish the series will end. Sometimes, too long can be bad for the story itself. Later on, the story changes, and those changes can change your perspective of the story. Some readers like the series at first, but they do not like it later on. Reading a series is like watching a TV show. A TV show can have a lot of seasons and episodes. The story is bound to change when there is a lot of seasons and episodes. A lot of seasons and episodes means that the TV show will not end yet, and that it will keep going on.

A standalone can be very long, but its story ends in that one book. A standalone is like a movie. A movie can be very long, but its story ends in that one movie. When reading a standalone, readers like the story at first and like it more as they read further. It is easier to see the connection in a standalone than a series. A series has too much going on, and you have to go back to previous books to connect to the later books. You also have to remember what happened in the previous books as well. This can be very mind-boggling. In other words, it will drive your mind crazy. At least a standalone novel puts your mind at ease when you finish reading it.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
