When I tell people that "Napoleon Dynamite" is my all-time favorite movie, I get one of two reactions. Some say "I LOVE THAT MOVIE!" Others say that they have never seen it, so of course I make them watch it with me. Most of the time, they do not understand why I find it so wonderful. No movie has ever made me laugh more and I have never been able to watch a movie as many times as I have this one. So yes, I can quote the entire thing, and I have no shame. Here's just a couple reasons why it is so great.

1. It's surprising success.

When the movie was made, it was meant to be an independent film. Nobody was expecting it to be as successful as it turned out to be by the small budget and simplicity. But what was originally a 400,000 dollar movie turned out to earn millions once it was released and became a phenomenon.

2. The acting/characters.

You don't hear about much of the actors anymore, which is perfectly okay with this film. Every single character is so well done that it just makes the movie even better! Even though the jokes are simple, those that deliver them make them even more funny. And to be honest, I am not sure how it was filmed because who could honestly keep a straight face filming those ridiculous scenes?

3. The sweet moves and sick jumps.

Those skills, though. From completely wrecking on a bike to dancing his heart out on stage, Napoleon definitely has his share of action shots. The most iconic being his moves at the talent show.

4. The quotes.

There are so many quotes that I say in a normal daily basis from this movie. They are absolutely genius. Sometimes I watch the movie just to quote it the whole time.

So there ya go, folks. These are just a few reasons why this movie is a true piece of art. Now if you don't mind, I am going to procrastinate a little longer and indulge into watching my favorite movie once again.
