Why I love Game of Thrones.

Game Of Thrones has been on television for about six years now and just recently I jumped on the bandwagon, six years later mind you but I caught on! I have seen so many rave about this show and I never understood why but from the first episode of the first season, I was immediately hooked. I was immediately immersed into the crazy and exciting world of Game of Thrones. With the help of one of my best friends, I learned all the names of the major characters on the show, she helped me to figure out who was worth liking and who was scum. She was there for me through every major moment of the show that left me in shock and at times in tears. Each and every episode is a wild emotional rollercoaster and there are things within each episode that you never even saw coming. This show is so well written and cast, the costume design is flawless and the scenery is amazing. The creation of the dragons amazes me, I absolutely love watching them fly through the air. I mourned the deaths of Ned Stark and cheered when Joffrey was finally killed. I really despised him. It also helped that my friend shared my hatred for him. I love the sassiness of Vary’s, the savagery of Tyrion, how Arya and Sansa grew into a strong and independent women who I their father would be proud of. Sansa’s journey alone proves that you can be put through hell and back and come back stronger then ever. I admire her so much for never giving up even when life got scary and tough. I also look up to Olenna, not only because, spoiler alert, she killed Joffrey which in my opinion was one of the amazing plot twists of this show, but because she is not afraid to stand up to anyone and more importantly to put them in their place when need be. If you have yet to watch this show, drop whatever it is you are doing, go onto HBO Go’s website and start watching, you will NOT be sorry. I highly suggest that you find a friend to watch it with because you will definitely need a shoulder to lean on as you watch the show unfold!

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
