If I'm being honest, my family probably loves our dog way too much. I had wanted a dog for the LONGEST time growing up. When my family finally decided to get one when I was a freshman in high school, I'm pretty sure I cried. After all my parents research on dogs, they decided to get a labradoodle. I had no clue what that was at first, but now I realize how much I was missing out.
My labradoodle, Sam, is definitely the most important figure in our household. If he decides to hang out in our living room by himself, chances are, my entire family will flock to where he is in about five minutes. However, I can't complain about loving this dog. Getting a labradoodle was probably the best decision my family has ever made. I feel like labradoodles have every quality someone could ever want in a dog; smart, fun, and always there for you!
1. Labradoodles are extremely photogenic.
It seems like labradoodles have no issues looking directly into the camera and posing. I mean, look at my dog! Anytime I pull out my phone, he knows exactly what I'm about to do. Our family is able to dress him up, put anything on his face, and he will hold a pose for as long as you need him to. How can a dog be so camera-ready and cute?
2. They make the best cuddle buddies.
Because labradoodles don't shed, you con't have to worry about getting dog hair all over yourself. It seems like they enjoy sleeping more than your average dog, so they will always be down to put their head in your lap and just hang out and watch your favorite TV shows.They also are able to maintain their thick, curly hair. Cuddle away!
3. They are super easy to train.
One of the reasons my family decided to get a labradoodle was because they are known for being extremely smart. He definitely knows right from wrong, and he's always extremely alert and ready for whatever. My dog can also do all sorts of tricks; play dead, speak, and sometimes he can roll. It's always so fun to see him to all sorts of things and enjoy his treat afterwards. It definitely helps that he is extremely patient too!
4. They are super lovable and will never let you down.
My dog is able to sense when I'm down, and he will come over to comfort me. Labradoodle's are truly a man or woman's best friend. They never fail to put a smile on your face. Whether you're just lounging around the house, going to the dog park, or just eating your dinners together, you can never get bored with a labradoodle around your house. I wouldn't change having my labradoodle around for the world!
