Chip and Joanna Gaines: antique style, obsessed with shiplap in any room, loves a good farmhouse and most importantly; they are the witty married couple that takes on the worst of homes and helps families transform them into dream homes. Joanna is the design and decorator while Chip is the labor in their projects. ‘Fixer Upper’ has become one of my favorite shows to watch and I’ve learned a lot. Here are some examples of some renovated rooms:

First, let’s start off with the living room. One of the biggest things that Joanna is known for is knocking out walls to make rooms seem bigger and more open. Joanna loves to paint over brick! Brick on the outside or brick on the inside she almost always paints it white! But white makes everything look clean and big, right? One of the biggest questions I’ve always had with the living rooms that she designs, where do you put the TV? I guess we’ll never know.

Joanna loves to create storage in any room by adding cabinets or open shelves. Farm sinks are almost an absolute guarantee in any house that she works on because that’s just her style. These lights are adorable in the kitchen!

Joanna has a unique style of incorporating old items with new ones. Old antique chairs with a new handcrafted dining table. The dining rooms that she designs are simply but pretty.

I love the colors in this room! Joanna has a good taste for light paint colors! I love the white and the grey in this bedroom. It just looks so calming and relaxing.

Beautiful bathrooms with two sinks and plenty of counter space so when you do your makeup in the mornings, you can spread all your products out.

Joanna Gaines is my favorite human being and I just love her decorating skills! I hope one day I can own a house as beautiful as this! #goals #motivation
