My Top 6 Favorite Boy Bands Of All Time

Boy bands are one of my main sources of happiness in life. Coincidentally, in just a few days I'm embarking on a boy band adventure. First, I'm seeing New Kids On the Block, my mom's favorite group; then, I'm seeing BTS, one of my favorite K-Pop groups. So here are a few of my favorite boy bands in celebration of this exciting upcoming adventure.

1. New Kids on the Block

New Kids on the Block was my mom's favorite boy band growing up. So, naturally, they are the first boy band I was ever introduced to. New Kids are special to me because it symbolizes a sort of bond between myself and my mom and also because their music makes me nostalgic for a time I wasn't alive to see.

2. NSYNC

Honestly NSYNC is pretty remarkable for their fashion and music video concepts alone. They're also musically stunning when they harmonize.

3. The Backstreet Boys

Backstreet Boys is my good time group. They're perfect for a pick-me-up playlist since their songs are pretty upbeat. Plus, I really, really like Nick Carter.

4. One Direction

One Direction was my first favorite boy band from "my time." They're all incredibly talented, and I'll feel indescribably proud and supportive of their careers for the rest of my life. But I truly love One Direction because their music perfectly embodies that time in my life when they were my favorite boys in the whole world.

5. BTS

I love BTS-- there's really no other way to say it. They're fun when I just want to laugh or dance around in my room or bop around during a road trip. They never fail to stun me with their performances, so I know seeing them live will be a breathtaking experience. But I am most grateful to BTS for teaching me the importance of self-love with their Love Yourself albums. The positive thinking they've taught me requires daily effort, but I'm still learning.

6. ASTRO

ASTRO is my never-failing cure for any type of stress, sadness, or disappointment. It's impossible to watch them without feeling a desire to mimic their sweet, bubbly energy.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
