Several honors students at a local high school were surveyed about how they spend their time. After addressing many different aspects of a student's day, it is clear that the fact that they are able to maintain the different aspects of their life shows responsibility. Looking at exactly how much students do, you should question before you criticize them about wasting time or not doing enough. Most students already sacrifice important things to meet expectations. They're doing their best. In many cases, asking them to do more can be damaging to their mental and physical health.
It is important to note that honors students are specified because they were the ones surveyed. It is not to say it doesn't apply to other students. In fact, it is most likely. However, some of the specified times reflect work that honors and AP teachers assign. In any case, it is safe to say that most students are just doing the best that they can.
