As the presidential elections get started, many people including me, have become annoyed with it. I am not stating whether I am Republican or Democrat, but I will say that neither side has a spectacular candidate. Supporters for all the candidates have gone above and beyond to support their candidate. From the constant news to the obnoxious facebook posts from rallies and tweets, most Americans today are annoyed with these.
Many people as they log onto Facebook see an outpour of political posts and shares of certain candidates. Most of them are either twisting a candidate's words or by shutting them down for their ideas. As I log into Facebook, I see the same things, and I am only in college. I can't determine if I agree with the people or not. So I simply log off Facebook for this reason. Facebook was created to reconnect with friends after college, not to spread your own opinions on what people believe in. Half of the posts that are reposted are only for spreading rumors about candidates. Some of these include Hillary Clinton and what she has said about gay rights back in the 90's, Donald Trump rallies, and Ted Cruz being from Canada.
At this point in time, it seems to be that the election is just a fight between a bunch of high school girls. The candidates are bad mouthing other candidates in rallies, online and on the news. However has the worse things to say about another candidate seems to win the debate or the fight between candidates. No matter where you look Trump has said something ridiculous about all of the candidates. Cruz has come at Trump multiple times. Hillary Clinton has gone after Trump and Sanders. Sanders just seems to want to fight Hillary all the time. I didn't think I was watching the newest teen drama on TV. If I wanted to watch that, I would turn on MTV's Awkward or turn on Netflix and see the endless amount of them.
Finally, anyone who tries to talk about what goes on at rallies for a candidate probably does not understand politics. The rallies are for their supporters. To get more supporters that talk about what they want to do. Trump talks about this giant wall he is going to make. Sanders talks about student debt and making a new economy that will help everyone get an education, affordable medical care, and for human rights. Just because you do not agree with what they say in rallies does not in fact change how they get more supporters. It is for publicity to get more supporters, if you don't agree with it, don't go.
I can't wait for the election to be over. After all of the issues with this election, I would enjoy going back to watching the news with the regular burglaries and state tax things.
