There are many places where spring break can be celebrated. Most college students defer to Cabo and Cancun. However, with the latest travel advisory to Mexico, many students have decided to postpone their plans to have fun elsewhere. Here are just some places for students to plan for instead of the typical "Cabo Spring Break 2k18."

1. Toronto

Toronto is home to many bars and an incredible nightlife satisfactory for any college student. Instead of Mexico, why not plan on visiting the neighbor up north for a different way of lifestyle.

2. Las Vegas

Sin City is the perfect getaway for any legal aged students who wants a week they may or may not remember, but would sure be fun no matter what for a typical student looking to blow off some stress.

3. Belize

Belize is a beautiful beach paradise home to the large blue hole. Try skydiving into the hole or scuba diving down. The wildlife is rich and the environment unforgettable.

4. The Great American Road Trip

Go on a road trip with friends across America and stop by the highlights of each of the states on the route.

5. Phillippines

The major money hole for this vacation would be in flight prices. Otherwise, the prices in the country are cheap and affordable. Find the date and book that flight early for a vacation you cannot forget. The nightlife is lovely. The tourist activities are extraordinary. And the culture is unforgettable.

6. Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico is a perfect place for a spring break vacation that is both closeby to mainland America and also a safe travel for citizens. Surrounded by water, the beach life is unreal for those especially Arizonians stuck in a desert. The activities are countless and this vacation spot provides an activity for everyone with a specter of adventures to choose from.

7. Cruise

A cruise is much safer than a typical flight down to Mexico. These cruises offer security and an itinerary to be able to stop by each port and enjoy the time there as well as includes much more travel and relaxation than the typical Spring Break. There are many activities on the cruise as well suited for every type of person.

8. Trips with the school

Many schools offer spring break trips for the students. Particularly at ASU, there are many organizations that offer a discounted price and transportation to theme parks. There are also community service field trips that travel to different cities and states to help the community as well as enjoy the different attractions and lifestyle.

9. Visit a different University

Go hang out with your friends in different colleges and see how life is on their campus.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
