College is crazy busy, and most of the time I'm either sleeping, eating, doing homework, in class, or working.

For this reason, writing my article for the week comes down to the last second, and sometimes you just have to do something crazy in order to get your article done, so here are...

RANDOM ARTICLE IDEAS FROM MY ROOMMATES

1. Bubble Gum - Makanna

"Really Makanna, that's it?"

"Yep."

2. Why Boys Ain't Sh*t - Lexie

"Is that how you feel, Lex?"

"Yes, yes it is."

3. How to Deal With Lexie Cicalo - Jordyn

"That's so funny. I'm gonna show this to my mom when it's done." - Lexie

4. Why Crocs are the Greatest Shoes in the World - Lexie and Jordyn

Lexie and Jordyn are both Croc fanatics, and decided that this would most definitely be the article idea for the win. They both just bought Lemon Yellow crocs, also.

5. HOW I HATE WHEN PEOPLE SIT IN MY SEAT EVEN THOUGH IT ISN'T ASSIGNED - Lexie

It's a funny thing how in high school you think that assigned seats are so stupid, then you get to college, sit in the same exact seat everyday, and then get mad when someone sits in your seat, because it's YOUR SEAT.

6. Procrastination is Key in College - Makanna

I think most college kids would say that they don't TRY to procrastinate, it just kind of happens. One day you have two weeks to turn in an assignment and then it gets to be the day before it's due and you realize you've done nothing the whole time and then you have to rush like crazy to get it done.

(Kind of like me with this article at the moment :))

7. How College Brings You Close with People You Never Thought You Would Be - Me

Since moving to college, I've met more people than I ever met in high school and it's crazy how you want to be friends with every single one, just because of how amazing they are. You meet different types of people from many different places everyday and without trying, you just kind of make friends.

8. Why Crying is An Everyday Occurrence in College - Lexie

"I am a very emotional person. I have a sensitive little heart, man. I just cry everyday."

9. How Many Cookies Can We Eat Without Gaining Weight? - Lexie

We've made the cute little fall sugar cookies twice since being here, and both times we've eaten almost 90% of them. Every time, we've asked ourselves, "Is this really that bad for us?" The answer, I'm sure, is yes. But, college. *insert the oh well person emoji.*

10. How Late Can We Stay Up Before We Realize We Should Give Up for The Night - Me

It happens on occasion that you get so much homework, you feel like you're up to your eyeballs in it. You can't help but stay up until you're so tired that you feel like if you go to sleep, you won't wake up for three years.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. When you're at a deadline, you do whatever you can to create something worth reading, so I hope you've enjoyed the words of my crazy roommates. :)

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
