7 Things You Will Enjoy Doing When It's Raining Out

Rain doesn't always have to ruin your day.

Spring has officially begun and that means that the spring rain is also headed our way. I am not a very big fan of the rain because I feel like I have to stay cooped up inside all day but I guess that doesn't really always have to be a bad thing. You can open a window and listen to the patters of the rain from the comfort of the inside of your dry home.

1. Curl up and watch Netflix

My favorite show right now has to be "On My Block." There's 10 episodes, each 30 minutes, and I highly recommend it. (@ Netflix please renew it for another season.)

2. Grab a good book

Sadly, I haven't read a book just for my own pleasure this entire year, besides when sitting on the floor of the airport. A rainy day is the perfect excuse to get back into the book you picked up once and then forgot about.

3. Get some cleaning done

Of course this isn't something that would be on the top of the list of things to do, but it's going to have to get done and would you rather do it now or when it's a sunny spring day?

4. Make a playlist

I have playlists for the most random things, from cleaning to driving. Being stuck inside is a perfect time to start looking for some new music.

5. Go to a museum

Yes, this requires you to go outside for a bit but you'll be in the shelter of the museum for most of it.

6. Shop...online

I do this all the time anyway, might as well pass the time when it's rainy out by doing it then too.

7. Plan things you want to do when it's nice out

There's no better time to start planning for what you want to do outside, when you're stuck inside.

With a combination of some of these things, a rainy day won't seem too bad in the end.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
