Gods promises. They are beautiful gifts and serve as very important things in your life. They often come from great prayer, and worship. They are unseen in that God loves to give surprises. He likes to give us things that are operational in His will, things that serve a purpose for His bigger pursuits. God’s heart is often engraved in the things He promises us. They are not the light at the end of the tunnel, but they are small particles of that light. God is the light.
Just as it states in His word, Philippians 4:19, “but my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches and glory by Christ Jesus.” These promises are part of His pursuit. They are the epitome of Him. Psalm 37:4, “take delight in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” They are the desires for a heart that chooses to desire Him.
I remember praying fervently for the things that God has given me. I remember when God revealed what He has promised for me. Often this happened in the moments that I sought Him and His will for my life. Always remember, when you seek God’s will: His Will will run after you. Some nights I remember staying up just to hear from Him. I remember worshiping Steffany Gretzinger all the while the Holy Spirit was speaking His promises over me. God often does that in the time that you need it. When discouragement or loss of strength occur in your life, He will often show up and remind you of those promises.
Maybe His promises are for your finances, or your health, or your relationships. Maybe God wants to heal your heart or heal your mind. Whatever God has promised to you, I want to encourage you. Those promises are coming to past in your life. They will come in God’s timing and they will come. Your waiting season is almost over, sons and daughters. As it is coming to a close, continue to delight yourself in the Lord. And when discouragement takes over, speak the word and His promises over yourself. As you conform to God’s will, He will perform the things that He desires for your life.
