What Your Favorite Fast Food Says About You

Are you the health-freak or the garbage of your group?

In a world of ever evolving food culture, one thing has remained a constant: fast food rules. It's cheap, quick, and 99% of the time absolutely delicious. With there being so many fast food restaurants, it can be hard to decide which you want to eat at sometimes. Despite this, we all have a favorite fast food place. It's the place we crave most after a night of partying, and when we're having a particularly hard day. Our favorite fast food restaurants can say a lot about who we are, so I picked the first 5 that popped into my head.

McDonalds

You’re the trash of the friend group (sorry not sorry). You don’t care what haters think, you’re your own person who loves a cheap delicious burger. Most people will try to drag you for liking such a problematic national fave (will that ice cream machine *ever* work?), but you couldn’t care less -- those nuggets are sinfully good and you refuse to care about what other people say. Enjoy that Big Mac with pride, homie.

Wendy's

You consider yourself a classy bitch. You can’t escape the desire for french fries covered in ketchup and a juicy, cheap burger, but you want it to be real. Fresh never frozen beef, am I right? Not to mention the glorious salads they offer if you’re having a particularly self-conscious day but still want something easy and cheap. Let’s be real, you can’t beat a frosty. Sorry McDonalds, but at least Wendy’s machine works.

Chick-fil-A

You’re the *real* classy bitch. You love to be pampered and treated like the royalty you are, and there’s no fast food restaurant that gets off on spoiling customers quite like Chick-fil-A. You dream about those chicken sandwiches and perfectly crispy waffle fries. Sundays are your least favorite day, because that’s the day you always end up craving it the most. Even though you like to be pampered, you’re one of the nicest of your friends (even if it’s only because you want people to get you Chick-fil-A when you’re busy).

Subway

You pride yourself in eating ‘fast food’ that isn’t greasy, but let’s be real: Subway isn’t fast food and you know it. You probably still load it with mayo and a load of cheese even though you tell people you’re all about eating healthier than fast food because those sandwiches taste like garbage if they aren’t covered in unhealthy toppings. Don’t let the desire to be ‘healthy’ deter you from some of the best things in life like fries and chicken nuggets.

Taco Bell

You’re the party friend who’s always a little *too* lit. Your friends like you a lot when you’re partying but as soon as everyone is sober their loyalties shift. Your closet consists of Forever21 and your hair is probably messy a good bit of the time. You have high hopes for your life and what it has to offer, like Taco Bell’s Cinnabon holes, even if things don’t turn out as great as you’d hoped. (Side note: I once accidentally left an unfinished container of those in my bedroom back home and 3 months later it hadn’t molded at all.)

So what's your favorite fast food restaurant? Share with your fave!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
