Winter break is officially here! All the finals have been taken, all the papers have been turned in, all the grades have been recorded, and it's time to finally kick back and relax after a long semester. One common issue with winter break is people just don't know what to do with themselves when they don't have four finals to study for and three papers to procrastinate about. For those of you who don't know what to do over winter break, I've got you covered!
Drink Eggnog

Eggnog is one of my favorite holiday drinks. It's nice to sit by the fireplace with a big cup of eggnog and just take in the holiday cheer. It has just enough cinnamon to add some great flavor and it goes down smooth with some fresh baked cookies. Speaking of cookies...
Bake Cookies!

The best thing about cookies is there are a million recipes you can choose from! Not a fan of the traditional chocolate chip? How about making some peanut butter cookies or sugar cookies? If you're in the festive spirit, try making some gingerbread cookies. The possibilities are endless when you're making cookies!
Hang Out With Family

This one's a no-brainer: if you're going to be home for three weeks, why not catch up with family while you're there? After being away at college for a semester, there are probably things you missed, so don't be afraid to chat it up with your fam! Plus, I'm sure they'll appreciate getting to spend some quality time with you.
Watch Christmas Movies

Who doesn't love a good Christmas movie? My personal favorite is National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation because it subverts the usual Christmas theme for a more timeless and comedic tone. If you're more of a romantic movie fan, Hallmark Movie Channel has more than enough romantic Christmas movies to go around.
Eat Some McDonald's Holiday Pies

For me, one of the best parts of the holiday season is McDonald's holiday pies. They're way better than the usual apple or strawberry pies offered there, but they only have them a couple months out of the year (hence why they're called holiday pies). I just can't resist that vanilla custard filling and sugar cookie crust topped with sprinkles. If you're anything like me, you'll want to stock up on them!
Have A Snowball Fight

This one is for you folks who live in parts of the country that get snow. Snowball fights are the perfect way to spend a frigid snowy day with friends and family. Just make sure to bundle up with plenty of layers before you go out!
Here's to hoping you a fantastic winter break filled with fun and cheer. Happy holidays, everyone!
