What's Stopping You From Living Your Life?

While you have the chance now, go out and see the world.

What's Stopping You From Living Your Life?

"Have you ever thought about traveling the world?" or "wonder what it would be like to experience a different culture?" And if you have, "how many times did you actually make that come true?"

I am here to tell you to go on adventures now and not just wait around and tell yourself I will do it later because what happens when later becomes never? What happens when you start living the same day over and over again until you die? I am here to encourage you to go out into the world while you are young and able. Go on an adventure on the other side of the world that will be so unexplainable that you cannot put into words. Experience a different culture you have never experienced before because you will learn more about yourself than you did back at home. Get lost in cities you have never been to before, because in that moment you find yourself.

As a college student, I am here to tell you how to find a way to travel the world. Most colleges offer study abroad programs, internships overseas, volunteer programs and mission trips, use these opportunities to go out into the world you never known existed or to get involved with the communities overseas, so not only you experience a different culture but you get to live it. "Why not start traveling now, what is stopping you, yourself"?

Here is one of my favorite quotes by Victoria Erickson: "Refuse to be that person like so many others is still driving down the same road, years down the line, mournfully longing to go back in time to be given just one more chance to take the road that they know they should have taken because they dismissed all possible extraordinary signs. It'll never get easier to make the leap and this is your chance; so make the change now. Take the road now."

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
