Valentine's Day is a unique holiday for most of us; meaning you either love it unconditionally or hate it with a strong passion. While the holiday of love certainly connotates with being in a relationship, there are plenty of ways to celebrate it with or without an S/O.

1. Have a "Galentine's day" celebration.

Get all dolled up and spend the night with your best gal pals! What better way to celebrate the holiday of love, am I right?

2. Buy some cheap Valentine's Day chocolate and have a movie night.

Whether you're smuggling said chocolate into a movie theater or enjoying it from the comfort of your own couch while a sappy rom-com plays, it's delicious either way.

3. Enjoy a nice dinner out.

That restaurant you've been dying to try or an old favorite will make for a memorable night, no matter who you spend it with.

4. Cook a special dinner at home.

Try a new recipe and go crazy on the pink colored place settings.

5. Have a spa night.

It doesn't matter if you go to the spa or make it a DIY spa night at home, you'll have fun pampering yourself and your gals. Bonus points if you can get your man to enjoy it too.

6. Check out some local coffee shops.

Why not spend Valentine's Day with something you LOVE- coffee!

7. Enjoy a beautiful brunch.

Start your V-day off right, with french toast and bottomless mimosas.

8. Go on an ice cream date.

Ice cream, gelato, fro-yo; the list goes on...yum!

9. Plan an overnight escape.

Whether you plan an extravagant getaway or check in at a local hotel, you can take advantage of a super comfy bed and usually free breakfast.

10. Go shopping.

Grab your girls or go solo; hit up the local mall and splurge on some items for yourself!

11. Explore the outdoors.

If the weather allows, take a stroll through the park or go on a hike.

12. Watch the sunset.

This could be romantic for you and your S/O or a fun way to end the night with friends (snap some selfies either way!).

Whether you're in a relationship or not, make this Valentine's Day one to remember.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
