We've all been there. You want to watch something without a lot of drama, something to just put you in a good mood. Well, I have a starter guide for things you should watch on Netflix to get you in a good mood or keep you in a good mood. This is a mixture of tv shows and movies that are almost guaranteed to make you happy!

The Office

I mean, should I even have to explain this one? The office is and always will be one of my favorite shows to just sit down and watch. I've seen it so many times, but each time it still makes me laugh. It's also a good one to watch with friends, because if it isn't funny enough alone it's 10 times funnier to watch with friends.

Hairspray

I love musicals a ridiculous amount and honestly listen to musicals more than anything else. Hairspray is a classic and one of those musicals I think everyone should see. It has important life lessons, makes me laugh, catchy music and Zac Efron. What else do you need??

Gilmore Girls

I just recently started to re-watch Gilmore Girls and I forgot how much I loved it. It's a really great tv show if you need a new one to binge. With an amazing mother-daughter relationship, witty humor, and that sense of early 2000's nostalgia it makes it almost impossible to not binge.

Mamma Mia!

Did I mention I liked musicals? And apparently, I have a thing for wholesome mother-daughter relationships, because Mamma Mia is both of those things. It's got amazing, not to mention catchy, music (thank you Abba) and some iconic actors making it one of my favorite movies/musicals. I really need Mamma Mia 2 on Netflix now, please.

New Girl

New Girl is totally underrated in my opinion. It's so hilarious and a little bit too real sometimes. It's one of those shows I can watch all the time, and I still think it ended way before it was supposed to. It makes me happy when I'm sad, and who doesn't like a little cringy humor?

Parks And Recreation

One of the best TV shows to ever air and bless us with its presence. There isn't anything negative I have to say about this show at all. It's got amazing life lessons, funny jokes, a leading woman role, and did I mention that it has Chris Pratt in it??.

A Cinderella Story

Need a blast from the past? This movie was amazing then and is still amazing now. A version of Cinderella, high school, and first loves. Truly an amazing movie, and if you haven't seen it yet, what are you doing?

Next time you need to feel happy, get in a good mood, or just watch something happy, put these shows or movies on! I promise you won't regret it!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
