Although 'attached' and 'detached' (or 'free') are the two main types of earlobes, there are many variants in the attachment point. Also, it's not just one gene that determines which type of earlobe you lean more towards having, studies show that at least 49 genes play a role in deciding how your earlobe will look.



Freckles are more common among fair-skinned people, but people with all types of skin tones can get freckles. They form as a result of melanin, which is a natural pigment (color), that forms as a way to protect the skin from the sun's harmful rays. Melanin is usually evenly spread across the body, which is what causes our bodies tan in the sun, but some people have small clumps of melanin that group together to form dark spots, or as we call them, 'freckles'.
